There Is No Doubt The PC Market Is In Trouble
Why do people keep saying this stuff? I know it is the trend these days but the whole doom and gloom "the PC is dead" thing is getting old.

There's no doubt that the PC market is in trouble. And for Intel, that's a real problem -- how do you market yourself when your bread-and-butter processor business is on the decline? By showing what else you can do, apparently.

Amazon Reveals More Drone Delivery Details
How many of you think that we will see drone delivery any time soon? I like the idea and, if anyone has the resources to pull it off, it's Amazon. I just think this is more in the gimmick / publicity stage right now than anything else.

We were thinking: Manned aircraft above 500 feet. Between 400 and 500 feet there'd be a no-fly zone — a safety buffer. Between 200 and 400 feet would be a transit zone, where drones could fly fairly quickly, horizontally. And then below 200 feet, that would be limited to certain operations. For us, it would be takeoff and landing. For others, it might be aerial photography. The realtors, for example, wouldn't need to fly above 200 feet to get a great shot of a house.

Twitter Hit By Temporary Outages In Europe, Japan, Africa
Workplace productivity across Europe, Japan, and Africa skyrocketed today following Twitter outages in those countries. Okay, I'm kidding. But it sure would be interesting to see some actual statistics on social media outages and productivity in the workplace.

Twitter said on Tuesday its social network was suffering outages in several parts of the world and it was working to resolve the issues, which appear to be concentrated in Europe, according to external monitoring sources. Both Twitter web and mobile services suffered outages for at least an hour around 0900 GMT, with smartphone users receiving the warning: "Tweets aren't loading right now."

MSI Z170I Gaming Pro AC Review
If you are building a LAN box, Steam Machine or HTPC anytime soon, you might want to give this review of the MSI Z170I Gaming Pro AC at LanOC a read.

Late this fall I started thinking about a new LAN rig, maybe even another iteration of our LunchBox series, before I did that though I really needed to check out the new Z170 boards. That leads me to today where I'm going to check out MSI's gaming focused Mini-ITX board, the Z170I Gaming Pro AC. Apple Demands Court Order To Access Dead Husband's Password
This is pretty low, even for Apple. The 72 year old woman gave Apple a notarized death certificate, serial numbers of the devices and a copy of the husband's will and she still couldn't get the password.

"I thought it was ridiculous. I could get the pensions, I could get benefits, I could get all kinds of things from the federal government and the other government. But from Apple, I couldn't even get a silly password. It's nonsense," 72-year-old Peggy Bush told Go Public. Experts warn this is a growing problem, as more people die leaving important information and valuable digital property on computers and electronic devices.

Tidal Is Charging Ex-Customers $19.99 For No Reason
Any of you guys cancel your Tidal service only to be mysteriously billed $20 in the last day or so? The company is handing out free 90 day premium access as compensation for the screw up but even that seems to have automatic renewal attached to it.

Tidal, Jay Z's streaming music service, has been hitting some consumers with false charges over the last 24 hours. I know because I'm one of them — and I cancelled Tidal several months ago. This morning I noticed a $19.99 charge on my credit card, which is how much the company's lossless / hi-fi subscription costs per month. A few hours later, Tidal sent along an apologetic email and let me know that the money would be refunded within a few business days.

After months of investigations and pressure from the German government, it looks like Facebook is finally deleting hate speech and racist posts in Europe.

Facebook Chief Operating Officer Sheryl Sandberg said hate speech "has no place in our society", including in the Internet. Facebook's ground rules forbid bullying, harassment and threatening language, but critics say it does not enforce them properly. On Friday, the firm said it had hired a unit of the publisher Bertelsmann to monitor and delete racist posts on its platform in Germany.
