Radeon Software Crimson Edition 15.12 comes WHQL-certified
AMD has given us a little gift ahead of the holidays next week. Radeon Software Crimson Edition version 15.12 is out now, and this WHQL-certified driver fixes quite a few issues for Radeon owners. The company claims to have resolved flickering issues in Star Wars Battlefront, performance issues with Crossfire setups in Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, and perhaps most importantly, unexpected fan speed behavior for users who had a manual fan profile configured in Overdrive.

Tencent buys up League of Legends developer Riot Games
Riot Games, the studio behind the wildly popular League of Legends MOBA, has been purchased by Chinese Internet services company Tencent. Tencent had already held a majority stake in Riot Games after a 2011 investment. Riot says the buyout will allow it to offer cash-based incentives to its employees rather than equity shares.

Apple taps new execs for hardware, software, and operations
Apple is making some big changes to its executive suite today. In an intriguing move, Apple appointed Johny Srouji as its senior vice president of hardware technologies. Srouji joined Apple in 2008 to lead development of the A4 SoC, and the company says he later worked to build teams responsible for "custom silicon and hardware technologies including batteries, application processors, storage controllers, sensors silicon, display silicon and other chipsets across Apple’s entire product line."
