Metal Gear Voice Actor Confirms Disbanding of Kojima Productions
According to Solid Snake's Japanese voice actor, the studio responsible for legendary titles such as Metal Gear, Snatcher, and Policenauts has disbanded.

Akio Otsuka, the Japanese voice actor for Snake in the Metal Gear Solid series, wrote out a heartfelt goodbye to Kojima Productions on Twitter today. "Kojima Productions was forced to disband, but it appears that the work that the team has been putting their utmost effort into is nearly complete," Otsuka said in a tweet.

Senators Ask FCC To Investigate Cable And Broadband Prices
As long as it brings down the amount we pay for cable and broadband, I guess this is something we can all get behind.

In a letter to FCC Chairman Tom Wheeler, Sanders wrote that only 37 percent of Americans "have more than one option for high-speed broadband providers." Because of the de facto monopoly situation in much of the country, cable and broadband providers "are able to charge ridiculous prices and add hidden fees onto a customer's bill," Sanders added in a press release.

Samsung Working On 11K Screens For Smartphones
4K and 8K are already yesterday's news at the Korean giant, as the company has begun work on bringing 11K screens to smartphones. I am all for advancements in display technologies, but I can't imagine why anyone would need to browse their Instagram stream or tweet in 11K.

Samsung is working on an 11K screen with a 2,250 pixel-per-inch density and a resolution of 11,264 x 6,336 pixels. The screen will measure 5.75 inches, and could grace future smartphones.

Addressing the PC performance issues is still our top priority and at this time, we believe we have identified a number of fixes for the larger issues that were affecting PC players at launch. These fixes are currently being implemented into the game and once we have been able to do some initial testing, we'll have a better idea on the status of our progress. Look out, Spotify. While the social media giant's initial plans involve a music video service similar to YouTube, Facebook may be evolving that into something far more expansive.

Facebook's digital music ambitions have been making headlines this month, with reports of early talks with labels linked to its trial of ad-supported native videos. But Music Ally can reveal that while Facebook will expand that trial to music videos soon, the social network is planning to follow that with the launch of an audio music-streaming service to compete with Spotify, Apple Music and others.

Microsoft To Provide Free Windows 10 Upgrades For 2 To 4 Years

"Revenue allocated is deferred and recognized on a straight-line basis over the estimated period the software upgrades are expected to be provided by estimated device life," the most pertinent slide stated. "[The estimated device life] can range from two to four years." Microsoft will determine the device lifetime -- and thus the support stretch -- by "customer type."

FTC May Launch Apple Music Investigation
The Federal Trade Commission is looking into complaints against Apple Music from rival streaming services like Rhapsody and Spotify.

U.S. government antitrust regulators are looking into claims about whether Apple's treatment of rival streaming music apps is illegal under antitrust law, according to three industry sources. Apple recently launched a new music streaming service, Apple Music. It also provides the App Store platform for competing streaming services including Jango, Spotify, Rhapsody and others.
