Desura Owner Bad Juju Games Files for Bankruptcy
PC gamers have a myriad of options to consider when buying games, with plenty of different digital stores up for consideration. However, one of them is in a bit of a dire situation, as Desura's owner Bad Juju Games hhas filed for bankruptcy. Bad Juju took over from Linden Labs in November 2014, and soon after some complaints arose about missed payments to developers. There was finally a public announcement about the missing payments and how it was due to a lack of an automated payment system, but would work on manual payments until an automated system was in place. And now there's a bankruptcy filing, which puts all of that, and Desura itself, in jeopardy. An official statement from Bad Juju has yet to appear, but hopefully it provides some clarification soon.
We'll keep you updated on the matter and whatever may arise. In the meantime, it probably wouldn't be a bad idea to download any games on Desura you haven't touched yet.
