Dishonored 2 Appears Out of the Fog at E3 2015; Launches Next Spring for PC, PS4, and XBO
One of the surprises during Bethesda's E3 Press Conference, if you haven't paid attention to any leaks, was Dishonored 2. Arkane Studios' sequel to the smash hit of 2012, Dishonored 2 takes us to the coastal city of Karnaca, where a new wave of corruption needs to be cleansed. The game is set 15 years after events in the first game, and you can play as either Corvo Attano or new assassin Emily Kaldwin. Both assassins have their own set of abilities, weapons, and tools to carry out their missions, and it will be intersting to see how different they play as. Emily's powers look to be quite different from Corvo's, as she has this almost liquid-like power called Far Reach to pull herself along instead of Blink. Her movements and weapons are both different from Corvo's, too, with a crossbow and unique assassination animations. She looks like the Assassin Empress she is, while Corvo has his military dubs. Oh, and whichever assassin you pick is who you play the entire game as, so at least two playthroughs is a must.
Along with Dishonored 2, Bethesda and Arkane showed off Dishonored: Definitive Edition, a remastered version of the game for current-gen systems (PS4 and XBO only, sadly). The graphics have been tweaked in the Definitive Edition, and all the DLC is also included, so this is the one to get if you have yet to play the original Dishonored. Dishonored 2 arrives Spring 2016 for the PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, while the Dishonored: Definitive Edition is coming soon, but no exact date was given.

Bethesda Drops a Nuke at E3; Fallout 4 Coming November 10, 2015
Bethesda Drops a Nuke at E3; Fallout 4 Coming November 10, 2015
Ten days ago, Bethesda showed off the game that RPG fans have been clamoring for: Fallout 4. The trailer split our time between pre-war and post-war apocalyptia in the Boston area, but seemed to ask more questions than it answered. Is the player character voiced? Are we playing only in post-apocalypse Boston or getting some pre-war experience, too? How big of a role will the androids, the synthetic humans, play a role? Is that man with the metal hand the new Mysterious Stranger? Well, sadly Bethesda was holding off on answering any of those questions and more until its E3 press conference, which just so happens to be tonight. So, what do we have to look forward to in Fallout 4?
Basically, everything and more we've ever wanted. Fallout 4 starts off before the bombs drop, where you can customize a husband and wife, and then play as whichever one you pick. Everything about the characters can be customized by way of tweaking settings in the mirrors; no sliders or anything, just pick a facial feature and modify. Each character is also voiced, too, and dialogue selections can be made to determine what you say in conversations (this is an RPG, after all). Soon after, the bombs start to drop and it's off to the vault, where, after some things happen, you emerge 200 years later and return to your house. Your faithful robot Codsworth is waiting for you, and from there you can get some details filled in, or just head off and explore. Once you find a dog, you can have him join you and help out in fights, issue contextual commands that change based on where you're aiming, and a whole lot more.
There are more than 50 base weapons in the game, and each and every one of them can be customized and modified to suit our needs. Maybe you want a silenced rifle to take out baddies without being noticed, or a long-range laser rifle that scatters the beam over a distance, or a nail gun, or really anything you can want to make. Alongside the weapon customization is armor customization, where you can alter your very own set of power armor with any number of components. Attach a T-45 helmet, T-51 chest, X-1 arms, and other items for a unique look, along with items like a rocket pack on the back. Oh, and that customization isn't limited to just your arms and armor, as you can build your very own settlement. Demolish and scrap whatever items you can find to design houses, shops, fields, defenses, and more, with a gigantic amount of possibilities at your disposal. Protecting these settlements is important, as raiders can and will attack. Also, settlements, as you can build and run multiple ones and even set up a Brahmin caravan between them.
Fallout 4 is, of course, set in Boston, and while Bethesda is still a little light on the details, it looks like The Institute, Brotherhood, and potentially the Railroad all play a part in our adventure. Considering you can call in your very own Vertibird and man the weapons on it, we need more details to learn exactly how that is possible. Whatever the case may be and however the story plays out, we don't have long to go to get our hands on Fallout 4; it arrives on November 10, 2015, for the PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. There will also be a Collector's Pip-Boy Edition available, where a functioning model of the in-game Pip-Boy is included. Snap in your phone, load up the companion app, and experience the game's menu in a brand new way. For those that can't muster up the extra cash, you can still utilize the free companion app on your Android or iOS device without the physical Pip-Boy.

Return to Hell in DOOM; Arriving Next Spring on PC, PS4, and XBO
Return to Hell in DOOM; Arriving Next Spring on PC, PS4, and XBO
If you can believe it, DOOM 3 arrived eleven years ago, and in that time very little has actually been said or shown of DOOM 4. Sure, there were the rumors of it being canceled, and then John Carmack came out and said id Software's mobile division was shuttered to better focus on the game. Then last year came a beta offer with pre-orders of Wolfenstein: The New Order to give us all hope of seeing DOOM 4 at long last. Last month brought us a teaser, but tonight, during Bethesda's E3 press conference, we have our first official look at DOOM 4, or rather, just DOOM.
Fast-paced, brutal FPS action is back, and do I mean brutal. Monsters can be taken down with some truly gruesome finishing moves, with blood and guts and viscera flying everywhere. All manner of weapons can be used to take down Imps, Demons, Commandos, Revenants, and Cyberdemons. Weapons such as the shotgun, chainsaw, minigun, BFG, and, of course, the super shotgun can all be utlized in your fight against the forces of Hell.
Alongside DOOM's single player campaign is multiplayer, which looks to be just as fast-paced as past titles. Go up against people online as marines, or change things up and battle as a demon, like a Revenant. Multiplayer can be played on whatever maps the base game has with it, or you can create your own with SnapMap, an easy-to-use map creator and more. I say more because SnapMap allows players to custom create brand new game modes, with things like co-op, wave assault, and more all possible. Whatever you can imagine, you can probably get it created and played by gamers all over the land.
DOOM is set to arrive Spring 2016 for the PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Ready to grab your super shotgun and go back to Hell?

Google Unveils YouTube Gaming, Coming This Summer
Google Unveils YouTube Gaming, Coming This Summer
When it comes to game trailers and pre-recorded videos, YouTube has always been the place to go. But gaming was never the focus for YouTube, and when it comes to live-streaming, Twitch has taken center stage. While it may be hard to dethrone Twitch, Google will sure try. This Summer, Google will be launching YouTube Gaming, a brand new app and website specifically catered to all things gaming.
More than 25,000 games will each have their own page on YouTube Gaming, providing "a single place for all the best videos and live streams about that title." Game publishers and YouTube creators will also have channels on the site, making keeping up with your favorite games and publishers easier than ever. In addition, searching for gaming videos will be easier than ever as well, as you'll only ever see game-related videos when searching from the new site and app.
To help knock Twitch off its pedestal, major changes will also be coming to how YouTube handles live-streaming. Live streams will be front and center on the YouTube Gaming homepage, and in the coming weeks, Google will be making several changes to improve the live experience on YouTube. "On top of existing features like high frame rate streaming at 60fps, DVR, and automatically converting your stream into a YouTube video, we’re redesigning our system so that you no longer need to schedule a live event ahead of time. We’re also creating single link you can share for all your streams."
YouTube Gaming will start in the US and UK this summer, but those attending E3 will be able to get a sneak peek of the new site and features at YouTube's E3 booth.

The Chimera Faction Introduced in New Act of Aggression Video
The Chimera Faction Introduced in New Act of Aggression Video
Back in August of last year, publisher Focus Home Interactive and developer Eugen Systems promised "to bring about a return to the 90s Golden Era of real time strategy games" with near-future RTS Act of Aggression. In a new series of videos, Focus Home is introducing us to each of the game's three playable factions. First up is the Chimera, a versatile global task-force. The Chimera's HQ also acts as a power reserve, while the faction relies heavily on unmanned UAVs for exploration and transport, and super-soldiers with exoskeletons when it comes to fighting. The Cartel faction will be featured in the next video, while the US Army faction will conclude the series.
Act of Aggression will be launching exclusively on PC in September 2015. The Steam page already exists, but the game is not yet available for pre-purchase.

Perfect World Bringing Torchlight to iOS and Android Later This Year
Runic Games' action-RPG Torchlight was a surprise hit when it launched back in 2009, and its highly anticipated 2012 sequel, Torchlight II, met with similar acclaim and success. Now Perfect World has announced that it's bringing the beloved indie series to mobile devices, with the easy-to-remember name of Torchlight Mobile.
Set to release later this year for iOS and Android, Torchlight Mobile "takes place in another faraway land where Ember is still being harvested by powerful civilizations." While details are sparse, the press release does mention that players will be able to choose from among "three new character classes." An early alpha version will be running on mobile devices at E3 2015, but only behind closed doors. Hopefully Perfect World will be releasing a video though. In the meantime, you can sign up on the official site to get news updates as they become available.
