Modders can now charge for their work on Steam Workshop
Modders of PC games often contribute huge amounts of high-quality content to communities with no expectation of profiting from their work. Now, Valve wants to help those folks profit from their creations. Modders will soon be able to set prices or enable a pay-what-you-want scheme for their creations on the Steam Workshop.

Samsung's new 840 EVO fix starts trickling out
The latest fix for the read-speed-slowdowns dogging Samsung's 840 EVO SSD is now out—sort of. Version 4.6 of Samsung's Magician software is available for download on the company's site, but only in limited quantities. According to the error message that pops up when I click through, "there is a daily limit on the number of Magician 4.6 downloads" until April 27.

Samsung spills details on flexible AMOLED display
Samsung announced its Galaxy S6 smartphone last month, including an Edge variant that curves the screen over the sides of the handset. Valve's giving free VR kits to content creators
Content creators working on virtual reality can apply to receive free HTC headgear from Valve. Seeding will begin this spring, the Steam steward says, and units will ship every couple weeks right through the summer. Valve wants to "support as many VR content creators as possible" ahead of the hardware's commercial release, which is slated for later this year.
