Swiftech H240-X CPU Liquid Cooling AIO Kit
If you want an all-in-one cooler that has great performance without a ton of fan noise, you'll definitely want to read our evaluation of the Swiftech H240-X liquid cooling kit.
Swiftech's H240-X is not your typical All-in-One, aka "AIO," CPU cooler. It is also a bit more expensive than your usual AIO. It does however deliver to you a tremendously upgradable equipment set that allows its buyers a economical ramp into a fully custom liquid cooling system for your entire computer.

WikiLeaks Furious At Google
So why is WikiLeaks mad at Google for handing over information about its employees to the FBI? I thought Assange and Co. were all about obtaining and releasing private info without consent. At least in this case Google was complying with a warrant.
In a letter written by one of the organization's lawyers, Michael Ratner of the Center For Constitutional Rights, WikiLeaks says that it is "astonished and disturbed" that it's just learning about this information request now. In particular its upset that the three staffers in question, Sarah Harrison, Kristinn Hrafnsson and Joseph Farrell were not able to prepare a legal defense that may have prevented their information from being shared.

Politician's Support Letters For Merger Actually Written By Comcast
Like this is a surprise.
For instance, a letter sent to the FCC by a town councilman from the small community of Jupiter, Florida, was in fact largely orchestrated by some of the biggest players in corporate telecom. Not only do records show that a Comcast official sent the councilman the exact wording of the letter he would submit to the FCC, but also that finishing touches were put on the letter by a former FCC official named Rosemary Harold.

Using Games To Generate Empathy For Faraway Conflicts
For a second there I thought this was the plot for the next installment in the Call of Duty franchise. Whoops!
Wearing bulky virtual reality goggles and headphones, she can see a cart selling food, cars and trucks passing by, and a group of people circled around a singing little girl. But then "all of a sudden there's like a bomb that goes off," Begalman says as she navigates her way around the virtual street. "It's completely full of dust and dirt and ... I'm sort of walking back and forth." In this virtual world, Begalman has experienced a mortar shelling from Bashar Assad's regime.

IBM Dismisses Report of Massive Layoffs
IBM doesn't seem very happy about the WSJ claiming that the tech giant planned on laying off more than 100,000 employees. An IBM company spokesman had this to say:
IBM does not comment on rumors, even ridiculous or baseless ones. If anyone had checked information readily available from our public earnings statements, or had simply asked us, they would know that IBM has already announced the company has just taken a $600 million charge for workforce rebalancing. This equates to several thousand people, a mere fraction of what's been reported.

Sony Auctions Special-Edition PS4 For $129,000
I thought about making a joke about Sony finally making a profit on something but the company is donating the proceeds from the auction to charity plus they are making a matching donation so I gave them a pass.
It happened in an auction held by Sony Corp. unit Sony Computer Entertainment. In celebrating the 20th anniversary of the popular machine, Sony last year sold 12,300 retro-themed PlayStation 4 consoles in the original PlayStation's gray scheme as opposed to the fourth generation's usual black or white. The ¥49,980 special-edition units were each individually numbered, and Sony held an auction over the last weekend on the No. 00001 unit.

UPS Paid The Price For Preparing Too Well For Holiday Rush
Prepared "to well" for the holiday season? That doesn't even make sense. Oh well, I guess we know what is going to happen this holiday season.
While they nailed on-time deliveries during the 2014 Christmas season, on less busy days many workers and trucks were left idle. The drop in productivity and the extra expenses for training and overtime dragged UPS's 2014 preliminary earnings well below forecasts, the company said today, sending its stock down the most in more than eight years.
