Google Goes Public with More Windows Bugs
Microsoft needs to learn from its mistakes and cease the rhetoric directed at Google over the disclosure of Windows bugs or they will just get more of the same from Google. It's all cause and effect: Microsoft has bugs, Google reports them, Microsoft ignores warning, Google releases Windows bug to the world. Rinse and repeat.

Project Zero is composed of several Google security engineers who investigate not only the company's own software, but that of other vendors as well. After reporting a flaw, Project Zero starts a 90-day clock, then automatically publicly posts details and sample attack code if the bug has not been patched.

Elon Musk's Plan to Build a Space Internet
Elon Musk is a man of vision, but what separates Elon Musk from other dreamers is he puts his dreams and visions into action. So far he has dreamed up PayPal, Tesla Motors, Solar City, SpaceX and recently, the Hyperloop. His next dream is to create and build a full interplanetary Internet that will provide high speed Internet to anyone on Earth and eventually, provide Internet connections with Mars.

The project could take several years and $10 billion or more, but it'd be able to take advantage of the speed of light and deliver content faster than existing systems.

Need a Hacker? Check Out Hacker's List
This sounds like an offshoot of the hacker group Lizard Squad, but this is an entirely a different group advertising out of New Zealand to be hackers for hire. According to what your needs are, the rate of hacking ranges from $100 to $1000.

The site, which is registered in New Zealand, asks users not to "use the service for any illegal purposes," as laid out in its terms and conditions section.

Windows 10 to Have 'Little Impact' on Tablet Sales Before Late 2016
Windows 10 will be showcased to the public next week and is expected to released sometime in 2015, its full effect on the tablet market will not be felt until sometime late in 2016 according to analysts at CCS. The amount of impact will depend on how well Microsoft did in creating an operating system that will erase the memory of Windows 8, integration with the multitude of tablets on the market and the method of OS distribution, as in stand alone or subscription.

"We expect Android to continue dominating the low-end and mid-range market, with Apple taking the lion's share of the high-end.

Canada Passes Law Making Auto-Install Software Illegal
Canada Legislators passed new regulations governing websites last summer that automatically download and install software without permission of the owner or representatives. The law went into full effect this week. Anyone found to be in non-compliance with the new law will face hefty monetary penalties for each event.

Under the new regulations that form part of Canada's anti-spam legislation, it is now illegal for a website to automatically install software on a visitor's computer or for an app on your phone to be updated without first obtaining express consent from the owner or another authorised party.

Microsoft Rolls Out System Updates for All 3 Surface Pros
If you own a Surface Pro One, Two or Three, you can expect to receive an update from Microsoft sometime later this month. The updates will be coming in stages through Windows Update, with the lion's share going to the Surface Pro 3.

Blizzard wants to show its appreciation to its loyal fans who have been with the game uninterrupted for the past ten years. If you qualify, Blizzard is sending out statues to the players this week as a way of saying thanks for your loyalty. Xbox One Prices Slashed Again
Microsoft knows when it had a good thing going and is going back for some more of the same. Since Microsoft knocked $50 bucks off the price of the Xbox One, sales have gone through the roof, stampeding over rival PS4 in November and December. If you are hedging on buying an Xbox One, the price is now back down the pre-holiday pricing of $350.

Although an end date is not specified, the discount is characterized as a "promotion," implying that it is not a permanent price cut, but rather a temporary sale to continue the momentum from what Microsoft characterized as a "record-breaking holiday."

MacUser Magazine Shuts Its Doors After 30 Years
Another one bites the dust; an indicator of the declining health of the print media heralding in the closure of MacUser Magazine, a 30 year veteran of the technology print industry. MacUser will shut its doors after the last issue is released for February.

The MacUser team announced the closure with a Mac OS-style "sad Mac" icon. It is the second major Apple magazine to cease publication in the last six months, after Macworld closed its doors last September.

US Air Force Moves to Stem Shortage of Drone Pilots
A sign of the times: The US Air Force is looking for a few good drone pilots, well actually, a lot of drone pilots according to a leaked memo on The Daily Beast. Present AF drone pilots are working fourteen hours a day, six days a week. Not exactly the kind of working conditions you would expect from the Air Force. The memo outlined steps to take to retain the pilots on hand and begin recruitment of pilots from the reserves with substantial pay increases. The memo also stated the possibility of training enlisted personnel to become drone pilots.

An average pilot of manned aircraft in the Air Force flies between 200 to 300 hours a year, while drone pilots log 900 to 1,100 flight hours per year.

More Australian Stores Pulling the Elder Scrolls Online
According to reports from Kotaku Australia and Games.on.net, ZeniMax Online Studios is pulling the copies of The Elder Scrolls Online along with related pre-paid cards and having them sent back to ZeniMax, fueling speculation that a free-to-play version is on the horizon. Both denials and confirmation of the move are circulating and it may take a while to sort out all of the facts. Meanwhile, sales in the US continue unabated.

An unnamed Harvey Norman source said that the only reason a company would remove a game and all related items would be due to the publisher making the game free to play.
