Origin PC CEO: Steam Machines "Pretty Much Dead"
This quote is bound to get everyone all worked up.

Also during our interview, Wasielewski said the term "Steam Machine" no longer means much of anything. "I think that's kind of pretty much dead," he said of the term Steam Machine. "It's like a living room PC--is now the new term. Living room PCs have been around forever. That's not anything new either. But it seems like there's a legitimate demand and push for living room PCs."

PCs Aren't Dead Yet
PC aren't dead yet? But...but...but...I thought tablets and smartphones were killing the PC?

A year ago, pundits were declaring the personal computer dead. Smartphones and tablets were cannibalizing sales, and the once-revolutionary PC seemed unnecessary — and boring. Sure, a smartphone is great for checking emails, snapping photos and playing games. Tablets are perfect for watching videos and shopping online. But don't count the PC out just yet.

CES Remains For Men, By Men
The fact that Intel pledged $300 million to a diversity initiative during CES is proof positive that CES is for me, by men.

In Las Vegas, more than 160,000 attendees are ambling through the hallowed halls of CES hoping to get a glimpse at the future. Unfortunately, in 2015, the landscape of the future remains sculpted by men, for men. At the handful of early keynotes that set the tone for the conference to come, the men on stage expressed concern for a number of emerging industry frictions, but a dialogue around diversity was nowhere in sight.

Uber Faces Suspension In NYC For Noncompliance
It is to the point now where I should just make a template for Uber news that reads "Uber faces suspension in |_________| for noncompliance" and call it good.

Ride-sharing service Uber faces a limited suspension in New York City over allegedly failing to adhere to requests from the city's Taxi & Limousine Commission. Between the period of April and mid-September 2014, five of the six Uber bases failed to provide to the New York City Taxi & Limousine Commission any electronic trip data, legal documents allege.

AT&T Copies T-Mobile's Data Rollover Feature
It looks like AT&T is copying T-Mobile's recently announced data rollover feature.

If you have four lines and have a 15GB AT&T Mobile Share Value Plan and only use 10GB in a given month, you'll roll over 5GB and have a total of 20GB available to use within the next month. If you were to only use 10GB in the second month, you'll again roll over 5GB and have a total of 20GB available the next month. Bottom line: if you have unused plan data this month, it automatically rolls over to be used within the next month in case you need more than your plan's allotment.

FBI: Sony Hackers Blew Their Cover
For those of you that are still not convinced North Korea was behind the Sony hack, the FBI wants to assure you they fingered the right guys.

On a few occasions, the North Korean hackers let their guard down and failed to use so-called proxy addresses that masked their actual location. In those unguarded moments, the FBI was able to determine with "very high confidence" that the North Koreans were behind the attack, Comey said.

Car Buyers Willing To Spend $1,500 For High-Tech Options
If the average car buyer would plop down $1,500 for high-tech options, I wonder what you guys would spend?

Up to $1,499, that's how much. According to the latest Harris Poll, 51 percent of those surveyed said that if an automaker came out with an easy-to-use new technology that they really wanted, they'd be willing to spend up to that amount. No wonder automakers are focusing more on revealing new technologies at CES this year than they ever have before.

'The Interview' Takes In $31 Million So Far
The Interview has brought in $31 million so far. Not bad, but it would be interesting to know how much it cost to make the movie. Also, isn't that what it would have normally brought in once it was released on streaming services? Not sure Sony should be "taking a victory lap."

Weeks after canceling and then un-canceling "The Interview," Sony Pictures is taking a victory lap. The controversial Seth Rogen comedy has been rented or purchased a total of 4.3 million times since its online release on Christmas Eve, Sony (SNE) said Tuesday.
