A U.S. Court of Appeals Judge for the Seventh District spoke his mind this week at a conference about privacy and cybercrime. Judge Richard Posner feels that the NSA should have carte blanche access and use of information gathered when it comes to national security.

Claim: Chromebooks "Overtook" Apple in U.S. Classrooms Is False
When you talk about misleading headlines to grab readers' attention, an article posted in the Financial Times last week should float right to the top of the list. Based solely on a single third quarter report from IDC, showing Chromebooks shipping a higher number of units, two reporters for the Financial Times managed to come up with this headline: Google Overtakes Apple in the US Classrooms. Sure Chromebooks is definitely making a dent in classroom sales, but it has a long way to go to overtake Apple's dominance in school sales.

Based on IDC's reported numbers, Apple's U.S. education sales of Mac and iPads were not only larger than the corresponding, combined shipments of Android and Chrome OS products, but the "slight lead" Apple had over Google was a margin 172.6 percent greater than the unit differential that Garrahan and Bradshaw directed attention to in their article.
