Molyneux: Kickstarter, Early Access Can Be 'Destructive'
Peter Molyneux wants you to know that getting close to a million dollars to fund your game can be "very destructive to the final quality."
In an interview with TechRadar, the Fable series designer deemed Kickstarter and Steam Early Access as "very destructive to the final quality" of games that aren't particularly far along in their development stages.

Comcast Forgets To Delete Revealing Note From Blog Post
Stuff like this always makes me laugh. The only person I feel sorry for is the one that gets fired over this error of honesty.
Earlier today, Comcast published a blog post to criticize the newly announced coalition opposing its merger with Time Warner Cable and to cheer about the FCC's decision to restart the "shot clock" on that deal. But someone at Kabletown is probably getting a stern talking-to right now, after an accidental nugget of honesty made its way into that post.

Sony Hack Was An Inside Job?
The Sony hack was an inside job? I thought Sony was going to officially blame North Korea for the hack?
"Hackers don't use such things as Hushmail, Dropbox and Facebook when they want to engage in what amounts to criminal activity. Real hackers know that these sites collect access logs, IP addresses and work with law enforcement. It is possible that North Korean-sponsored hackers were working with someone on the inside. But it is more likely a ruse to shift blame, knowing the distaste the North Korean regime has for Sony Pictures."

High School Girls Build Kick-Ass Robots
Proof positive that girls are just as good as boys at building robots that will KILL US ALL!
The team started meeting after school. Its attendees were a rag-tag group: loners, misfits, kids who would rather be there than go back home. In 2003, the team roster included a former gang member, an ROTC cadet, a brainiac who lived in a shed, and a hulking giant of a kid who said next to nothing. The unlikely foursome started gathering spare parts from local hardware stores and businesses. Before long, they'd cobbled together an impressively robust underwater robot.

Can Virtual Reality Help Treat Pedophiles?
No, but I hear bullets work wonders. I guess I just proved this guy's point:
"I cannot overemphasize how hysterical the American system has become," said James Cantor, a leading pedophilia researcher based at the University of Toronto. "It has become so draconian and is hitting this with such a big, dumb, lead hammer, that if anything it's probably making the problem worse rather than better."

Thermaltake Versa H34 Mid-Tower Case
Shopping for a budget mid-tower case? ThinkComputers seems to like the Thermaltake Versa H34 chassis they just reviewed.
It's not often that an inexpensive case comes along that I am very impressed with, but the Thermaltake Versa H34 CA-1C9-00M1WN-00 is one of those times. Sure, it's made of thinner steel than some other more expensive chassis but you can't beat what you actually get from this case.

L.A. School District Halts iPad Contract As FBI Seizes Documents
Corrupt deal or not, this $500 million iPad contract was insanely stupid from the beginning.
The L.A. School District's plan to equip all students with $500 million worth of iPads and software has officially ended in a cloud of suspicion, according to the LA Times. Superintendent Ramon C. Cortines said it would terminate the original contract following a raid on district offices by the FBI, which seized 20 boxes of documents related to the matter. The project -- which originally used Apple's tablets and Pearson educational software exclusively -- quickly unraveled after ties between then-superintendent John Deasy, Pearson and Apple executives were revealed.

Net Neutrality: Five Myths, And The Real Facts
This net neutrality article is great for sharing with your not so tech-savvy friends.
The Internet was a simpler place a decade ago, however. Now, in an age when consumers surf the web, Skype and watch Netflix simultaneously, ISPs face a demand for more bandwidthand naturally, they want to be paid for providing it. Net neutrality proponents say a pay-to-play fast lane won't be neutral, and may be considered less open, because it will hamper companies that can't afford faster service.

Technology Gone Wrong Product of the Day
I can't believe someone wasted time inventing this crap.
