FBI Investigating XBL, PSN Attacks
You know, if history is any indicator, these guys are all going to be arrested in no time. It seems like every time a hacker pokes his head out to brag, he ends up in jail within days.
A member of the Lizard Squad hacking group, who goes by the alias "ryanc" or Ryan, allegedly garnered the attention of a special agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation after speaking with the media about Lizard Squad's Christmas-day attacks on Xbox Live and the PlayStation Network (PSN).

That's right folks, the geniuses that run Hollywood actually said this.

Pirating This Game Traps You In An Elevator
I love it when developers use tactics like this to deter pirates. We posted this earlier in our gaming news round-up but I gave it a post of its own so you guys could express your opinion on the matter.
It seems that the first person to stumble in to Croteam's anti-piracy measures for their latest game The Talos Principle has surfaced today, as complaints of getting stuck and not being able to progress have come in. If you pirate the game you'll get trapped in an elevator during one of the game's key progression points and not be able to continue. You'll just be stuck. In an elevator. With nowhere to go.

2014: Online Console Games Soiled Themselves In Public
This article talks about the huge downside of games that require an internet connection to play or are "online only" games.
There are many reasons as a consumer to be angry about all of this but it boils down to one thing: that game you've paid $60 for doesn't work. This isn't a case of not liking the game you bought, or feeling let down with the end content. It's not even about failing to live up to hype or having a ridiculous sense of entitlement as a consumer. This is about the game not working in the first place. Actually not working.
