Intel's 2015 revenue outlook beats Street expectations
2014 has been a good year for Intel so far, and the company's winning streak may continue into 2015. At its annual investor meeting yesterday, Intel shared its revenue guidance for the coming business year. The chipmaker says it expects growth "in the mid-single digits" for 2015.

Intel's 3D NAND has 32 layers and 256Gb per die
During an investor webcast this afternoon, Intel revealed that it will offer SSDs based on 3D NAND in the second half of next year. The three-dimensional tech is the product of the firm's joint flash venture with Micron. It stacks 32 planar layers to deliver 256Gb (32GB) of storage in a single MLC die. The 3D NAND can also be packed with three bits per cell to hit 384Gb (48GB) per die.

Samsung to intro FreeSync-enabled UHD monitors in March 2015

AMD's Carrizo APU is coming in mid-2015, will share package with Beema successor

Acer's new 27'' G-Sync monitor scales up to 144Hz
There's a new G-Sync display in Acer's stable. The 27" XB270HU slots in between the 28" XB280HK, which has a 4K resolution and 60Hz peak refresh rate, and the 27" XB270H, which is 1080p and 144Hz. This newcomer has a 2560x1440 resolution and 144Hz refresh ceiling, making it similar to the Asus ROG Swift Scott reviewed in August.
