Passage Replaces Your Passwords with Images
Disrupt Europe Hackathon 2014 held in London this weekend produced some really good ideas on security issues and one memorable one was called Passage. A combination of password and image, it perfectly describes the concept of a new, secure and simple type of password.

You can use a different image for every account and even multiple images so you have a fallback for when you lose your driver's license, for example.

2014 'League of Legends' World Championship
Riots annual League of Legends Championship was held last night in Seoul, Korea in front of a sellout crowd of 40K fans watching the finals of the 11 Million dollar competition between Korean favorite Samsung White and Starhorn Royal Club from China. eSports is finally beginning to come into its own.

The tournament as a whole saw better performance from North American teams than in previous years, though in the end it was still the top Asian teams who made it all the way to the final this time.

Pre-Orders and Pre-Downloads for the Master Chief Collection Have Begun
Pre-orders have already begun for Halo: Master Chief Collection and with it comes the chance to pre-download the 20GB day one patch you are going to need in addition to the 45GB space requirement for the Blu-Ray disc installation. Release date for the game has been switched to Veteran's Day, November 11th. Nice touch, don't you think.

The UK Will Quadruple Prison Sentences for Online Abuse
Online trolls are not very welcomed in the UK and the government is putting some teeth into new sentencing guidelines to discourage the practice. In what used to be a six-month sentence for online abuse has now grown to a maximum of two years in prison, according to the severity of the offense.

These internet trolls are cowards who are poisoning our national life. No one would permit such venom in person, so there should be no place for it on social media.

Windows 10 Registry Tweak Will Block Future Updates
If you were one of the many brave souls that performed the registry tweak to be able to unlock new preview builds of Windows 10, you are no longer able to receive future build updates unless you re-tweak your registry. A guide for the tweak to restore Windows 10 is listed in the accompanying article.

After performing that fix, you should be back into the release channel that will allow your machine to receive the new updates. As always, tweaking your registry is not for the novice user and we are betting that if you made the change in the first place, you should know how to perform the action described above.

Mozilla's Browser Gets Built-in WebRTC Video Chat
Firefox is about to join the likes of Skype when Firefox 34 beta is released in the next few weeks. Mozilla has partnered with Telefónica to bring WebRTC-based voice and video chats straight from the browser itself.

Firefox Hello will have the added bonus of providing anonymous chat sessions, where the participants use some other service such as email or instant messaging to exchange a URL that enables the conversation.

HBO's Streaming Service May Cost Almost 2X as Much as Netflix
There is usually a catch when you get really good news, always waiting for that 'but' that always lingers at the end. With the news HBO is finally creating a freestanding service, the 'but' looms overhead like the Sword of Damocles. In this case, the eventual higher cost of standalone service to consumers according to Martin Peers over at The Information.

It's unclear if consumers will be willing to pay a $15 subscription, especially when there are other cheaper ways of getting that same content.
