Dell Kicks Puny 4K Monitor to the Curb, Debuts 27" 5K Panel
For those of you who just can't get a high enough resolution to suit you, Dell will sate your pixel envy in the upcoming 4Q with the introduction of the Dell UltraSharp 27 Ultra HD 5K Monitor. Unfortunately, the high resolution also sports a rather high initial price tag.

We expect this monitor to serve as a workstation and photo-editing option for professionals who already split between multiple monitors as opposed to a jumping-off point for 5K gaming—most high-end rigs can barely render games in 4K resolution as it stands.

Mortal Kombat X Release Date Confirmed
Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment announced on Friday that Mortal Combat X will be hitting the shelves on April 14th next year. Goro returns as a perk for those of you predisposed to pre-ordering your games.

The coming game features some new quirks, including multiple fight styles for each combatant, selected before a match begins, and an online play-focused experience that pushes everyone toward taking on other human players.

Tesla Confirms Nevada to Get Battery Factory
And the winner is…..Nevada. In a contest of sorts, mainly which state could make the massive finances work to their advantage, beat out rival Arizona, California, Texas and New Mexico for the $5 Billion future site of Tesla's advanced battery factory. The prize for Nevada will be an economic impact of $100 Billion over the next 20 years.

Tesla's Gigafactory will also be used for research purposes. Bringing down the cost of EV batteries means the savings can be passed on to consumers -- which in turn may improve adoption rates.

Microsoft Plans Four Patches, One Critical, for Patch Tuesday
Good news for system administrators this month, the monthly update from the Microsoft Patch Tuesday team is on the light side with only four updates, with only one of those rated as critical.

Google Agrees to Refund Millions in Unauthorized IAPs
Google has agreed to make restitution of around $19 Million dollars in IAPs which were challenged by the FTC as unfair and unauthorized billing by Google. Many of these charges were made famous by children using their parent's accounts for exorbitant In-App game purchases.

Google isn't the first, nor is it the last, app vendor that has been hit by a lawsuit from FTC. Apple has similarly been targeted and, as of last July, Amazon as well.

In what could only be described as a good business move on the part of the mobile wallet platform formerly known as Isis, the company has dropped the prior designation in favor of a more well accepted trade name: Softcard

It appears that the rebranding exercise will mean that Isis will become Softcard, which is nice, fluffy and well soft. No mention of digging up Shiite saints, destroying ancient relics or shooting heretics.

Oculus Hopes the Consumer Rift Will Sell for $200 to $400
