Google Is Target of European Backlash On U.S. Tech Dominance
I was going to say that Google sure seems like Europe's whipping boy lately but it would seem the term "whipping Wagnerian dragon" is more fitting these days.
Across Europe, Google has been under fire, reflecting the broader challenges facing American technology companies. Google, fairly or not, has become a glaring proxy for criticism of an intrusive American government and concern over America's unmatched technology dominance.

Reddit Declares Itself A 'Government'
Reddit's CEO says his company is the "government of a new type of community." Umm, if you say so.
The reason is because we consider ourselves not just a company running a website where one can post links and discuss them, but the government of a new type of community. The role and responsibility of a government differs from that of a private corporation, in that it exercises restraint in the usage of its powers.

ISIS Declares War On Twitter
You closed my Twitter account? I KEEL YOU! It would have been funny if Twitter locked them out of their accounts and posted this guy's videos instead.
An ISIS-affiliated group has threatened to assassinate Twitter employees that close down their accounts. Users linked to the extremists tweeted a series of messages on Sunday urging 'lone wolves' in the US and Europe to make the firm their target. A specific warning was directed at staff at the Silicon Valley headquarters, warning they would 'bring the war' to San Francisco.

What Does Apple Watch Mean For Gaming?
The short answer? Nothing. Long answer? Not a damn thing.
There's a lot of time between now and "early 2015" when Apple expects to ship its Watch. Third-party developers have been given tools dubbed WatchKit to develop apps for the Apple Watch, and Apple listed partners like Facebook, Pinterest and even BMW, so we're sure it's just a matter of time until game developers figure out what to do with this thing.

Should Bezos Apologize For 99 Cent Fire Phone?
What do you think? Should Jeff Bezos apologize? Maybe he should hand out some Amazon gift cards to early adopters to smooth things over?

Tinder Settles Sexual Harassment Lawsuit
Tinder has settled that sexual harassment lawsuit filed by a former executive. The settlement probably includes money changing hands, no one admitting guilt, gag orders and all that other jazz.
Whitney Wolfe, who served as a vice president of marketing and described herself as a Tinder co-founder, filed the lawsuit in June, accusing the company's chief marketing officer, Justin Mateen, of repeatedly calling her disparaging names and harassing her. Wolfe also accused the company's management of allowing the behavior that ultimately forced her out of the company.
