Tennis - Djoker won't tag Federer as favourite for US Open
Tennis - Djoker won't tag Federer as favourite for US Open- World number one Novak Djokovic said he'd let others decide who's favourite for the US Open after expectations soared that Roger Federer could claim a record-extending 18th Grand Slam title at the age of 33. The Wimbledon champion refused to enter the debate about the likeliest winner before starting his campaign against 79th-ranked Diego Schwartzman on Monday. I leave it to the people to really judge who is the one, two, three or number four favorite," said Djokovic, who on paper faces a tougher path than Federer with 2012 champion Andy Murray, French dangerman Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and big-serving American John Isner in his quarter. Djokovic beat Federer in the Wimbledon final but the Swiss underlined his strong form by warming up with a victory at this month's Cincinnati Masters.
