Rumor: Windows Threshold may have virtual desktops

Phase-change prototype claimed to be world's fastest SSD
We've been hearing about phase-change memory (PCM) for years. The non-volatile storage technology seems to be inching closer to prime time, though, and the latest implementation looks very impressive indeed.
The research division behind Hitachi Global Storage Technologies (HGST) is demoing a PCM-based solid-state drive at the Flash Memory Summit in Santa Clara, California this week. This Bay Trail-powered Gigabyte laptop could be a netbook
Are netbooks making a comeback? Sure seems like it, based on Gigabyte's latest launch. The Q21 is an 11.6" laptop with a Bay Trail-based Celeron processor and Windows 8.1 with Bing, an edition of Windows targeted specifically at low-cost devices.

Multiple reports say the GeForce GTX 880 is coming in September
The next member of Nvidia's Maxwell family could be just around the corner. Sources cited by Videocardz suggest the GeForce GTX 880 will be announced in mid-September, with availability to follow at the end of the month. The card will reportedly have a GM204 GPU with a 256-bit memory interface. Videocardz doesn't have a firm sense of clock speeds or unit counts, but 4GB of GDDR5 memory is expected to be the default configuration. Some card makers are said to be prepping 8GB versions, and you can probably bank on a range of hot-clocked variants.
There's some evidence that a GM204-based card is near, too. According to Videocardz, a "PG401" reference card "recently visited a certification office." ...
