'NSA-Proof' Email ProtonMail Launching Mobile App
We ran an article a while back on the touted 'NSA-proof' email service ProtonMail, created by CERN physicists, which is still in a closed Beta program. The developers are now adding an accompanying mobile App to go into Beta soon for security on the go.

The service has grown rapidly from 20,000 users when we last spoke in May, to 250,000 signups. Alongside developing mobile apps for iOS and Android, ProtonMail's grown to ten staff members and expanding two datacenters in Switzerland.

XBMC Is Officially Changing Its Name, Meet Kodi
All good things must come to an end sooner or later, so bid a fond farewell to XBMC. Don't freak, the program will still be around for quite a while to come, but now you will know it simply as Kodi, ending its somewhat passé attachment to the Xbox brand.

Six years have passed since the Xbox Media Center became XBMC, and simply put, 'XBMC' fits less now than it did even in 2008. The software only barely runs on the original Xbox, and then only because some clever developers are still hacking on that platform.

NASA Tests 'Impossible' Space Drive
NASA scientists have conducted tests on a new form of space propulsion called the Cannae Drive. It is radically different from any other yet devised form of propulsion as it uses no standard form of fuel and has the potential of shortening trips to Mars from months to just weeks.

While the amount of thrust generated in these NASA's tests was lower than previous trials — between 30 and 50 micronewtons, way less than even the weight of an iPhone, as Nova points out — the fact that any thrust whatsoever is generated without an onboard source of fuel seems to violate the conservation of momentum, a bedrock in the laws of physics.
