A Comcast executive said he expects the company will roll out "usage-based billing"—what most people call "data caps"—to all of its customers within five years. Speaking with investors today, Comcast Executive VP David Cohen said, "I would predict that in five years Comcast at least would have a usage-based billing model rolled out across its footprint."

PCAST Releases Report on Big Data and Privacy
So, if I understand this correctly, the President's Council of Advisors on Science and Technology wrote this report. Isn't Eric Schmidt a PCAST member?

Why Men Choose Female Avatars in World of Warcraft
When given a choice, do you prefer to play as a male for female character? Why?

In fact, it's all about the butts. Because players see their avatars from a third-person perspective from behind, men are confronted with whether they want to stare at a guy's butt or a girl's butt for 20 hours a week. Or as the study authors put it in more academic prose, gender-switching men "prefer the esthetics of watching a female avatar form."

Even The Part-Timers Are Miserable At Amazon
Okay, I read this sob story twice and I can't help but laugh. Please repeat these "soul crushing" stories to the millions and millions of people that do manual labor for minimum wage.

They do have some wicked smart people working there. I was really impressed, the campus is amazing, but everyone looks stressed out and beat down, at least on my team. Needless to say things did not improve. In 8 months I went through 4 managers. All of them look exhausted and stressed and had been there for about 2 years.

Think about this for a moment; you're paying more money for content you already own because you say you're too busy. Has someone set a deadline for when you must finish the game? Is there a gun pointed at your head hooked up to some bizarre, rapidly advancing contraption that is forcing you to reach the endgame before it expires?
