Nvidia's Pascal to use stacked memory, proprietary NVLink interconnect
GTC — Today during his opening keynote at the Nvidia GPU Technology Conference, CEO Jen-Hsun Huang offered an update to Nvidia's GPU roadmap. The big reveal was about a GPU code-named Pascal, which will be a generation beyond the still-being-introduced Maxwell architecture in the firm's plans.

Facebook to acquire Oculus VR for $2 billion
Well, this is... unexpected. I'm still not sure what prompted ol' Zuck to sign off on this, but Facebook has entered into an agreement to purchase Oculus VR—the famed virtual-reality firm that snatched up John Carmack as its CTO. The acquisition is valued at $2 billion, four fifths of which involves Facebook stock changing hands. (The remaining $400 million is cash.)
Apparently, the impetus for the deal is virtual reality's potential for social and ...

Nvidia's Shield to get remote streaming, price cut to $199
Since introducing its do-everything Android-based handheld gaming console last July, Nvidia has been steadily refining the Shield's software and adding new capabilities. The next step in that process is coming soon, in an over-the-air update to be delivered starting on April 2.
One of the Shield's many talents is streaming games from a PC elsewhere in your home. That capability can work surprisingly well with a fast enough ...

Nvidia serves up dual GK110 GPUs on $2,999 GeForce Titan Z
Thought the GeForce GTX Titan was a tad excessive? Well, think again. At the GPU Technology Conference today, Nvidia CEO Jen-Hsun Huang unwrapped the GeForce GTX Titan Z, a preposterously fast (and expensive) card featuring not one, but two GK110 graphics processors. Our own Scott Wasson was on the scene, but since he's marooned without Wi-Fi connectivity, allow me to do the honors.

Despite its high-tech wizardry, Google Glass looks kind of goofy. But that could change, because Google has announced a partnership with The Luxottica Group, which owns Oakley, Ray-Ban, and a bunch of fashion-oriented eyewear brands. Google will work with Luxottica on the design and manufacturing of new Glass styles. It also plans to take advantage of the group's distribution channels, though that will presumably have to wait until there's broad demand for Android-infused spectacles. Google Glass still costs $1,500, putting it well out of reach for most folks.
Oakleys and Ray-Bans aren't exactly cheap, either, but I'm curious to see what the designers behind the iconic sunglasses brands can do with Glass. Hopefully, they can make ...

Second BioShock Infinite: Burial at Sea DLC is out today
Four months ago, the first BioShock Infinite: Burial at Sea DLC took players back to Rapture, the ill-fated underwater city where the events of the original BioShock unfolded. Today, the second and final chapter of the Burial at Sea DLC comes out. This time, players take control of Elizabeth, BioShock Infinite's damsel in distress, for what Irrational Games describes as "a film noir-style story that provides players with a different perspective on the BioShock universe."
Here's the ...

Brushed aluminum, USB 3.0 hub combine in Das Keyboard 4
Metadot's Das Keyboard has been around for what seems like forever. The last update was back in 2009, according to Wikipedia, and the mechanical keyboard landscape has become a lot more crowded since. To take on the latest wave of challengers, Metadot has developed a new model that CEO Daniel Guermeur claims is an "order-of-magnitude improvement over past generations." Introducing the Das Keyboard 4:
