(PR) Lian Li Launches the PC-A51 Aluminum Mid-Tower PC Case
Lian-Li Industrial Co. Ltd, today announces a new brushed aluminum mid-tower chassis with a reverse airflow design - PC-A51. Previewed to the worldwide DIY community in its prototype stage, the PC-A51 is a conglomeration of user feedback and Lian Li's time-honed expertise and engineering capabilities.



Reverse Airflow Design

This community collaborated chassis sports a reverse airflow design in which cool air is pulled into the chassis from the rear filtered 120 mm fan. The front 140mm fan above the front-mounted PSU pulls hardware-damaging hot air out of the case. An additional 120 mm or 140 mm fan can be mounted on the floor of the chassis.

TechPowerUp GPU-Z 0.7.7 Released
TechPowerUp rolled out the version 0.7.7 of GPU-Z, the popular graphics sub-system information, monitoring, and diagnostic utility. Hot on the heels of the previous version, the latest version adds a handful new features, support for new GPUs, and fixes a few bugs and inaccuracies. To begin with, GPU-Z 0.7.7 improves support for GPUs based on NVIDIA's "Maxwell" GPU architecture. The CUDA core and TMU counts on upcoming GTX 750 and 750 Ti should correct now. Support for CHiL 8214 voltage controller is improved, for cards running AMD's "Curacao" and "Pitcairn" graphics processors. Along the way, GPU-Z 0.7.7 adds support for NVIDIA GeForce GTX 860M, Tesla K20Xm, and AMD Radeon HD 8210.

Since CompactFlash Association released the specification of CFast 2.0, Apacer has invested actively in R&D and taken the lead to roll out the first industrial-grade SATA 3.0 (6Gb/s) high-speed transmission interface CFast 2.0 memory card around the globe. Its sequential speed is up to 310/240 MB/sec, which doubles the speed of its predecessor. Besides featuring a 2-Channel bidirectional structure, the CFast 2.0 adopts Toggle DDR 2.0 NAND Flash, which brings its performance to a higher level. Jeff Lin, Embedded Application Business Unit Director of Apacer, suggested that, "Except that Apacer CFast 2.0 memory card is upgraded to double performance and speed, in order to meet the needs of harsh environment of industrial application and corporate cost-effectiveness, Apacer provides customers with choices between highly-durable SLC chip or highly cost-effective MLC chip.



Both chips are resistant to temperature change, vibration and shock in actual environment. Each kind of chip has a capacity of 4GB~32GB and 16GB~128GB respectively, with dimensions of 42.8mm x 36.4mm x 3.6mm and an adoption of (7+17) pin connector. Support for DEVSLP (Device Sleep) power mode enables them to switch into a low power state on standby mode so as to save power for companies."

AMD Announces the Radeon R7 265 Graphics Card
AMD launched the Radeon R7 265, a mainstream graphics card designed to fill the price gap between the $139 Radeon R7 260X, and the $179 Radeon R9 270. Based on the 28 nm "Curacao" silicon, the card features a core configuration not too different from that of the previous generation Radeon HD 7850. On offer are 1024 stream processors, 64 TMUs, 32 ROPs, and a 256-bit wide GDDR5 memory interface, holding 2 GB of memory. The card supports DirectX 11.2, OpenGL 4.3, and Mantle. With it, AMD hopes to take on $150-ish NVIDIA GeForce products such as the GTX 650 Ti Boost, and probably the upcoming GTX 750. It starts at US $149.99.
