The folks at Western Digital have sent us the latest batch of their 4TB drives, and we here at Techwarelabs thought it might be helpful to do a quick 4TB roundup of three of their top four drives to see how they stack up against each other. The three drives we will be looking at today are the Western Digital Red (WD40EFRX), Se (WD4000F9YZ), and Re (WD4000FYYZ). Although we have reviewed some of these drives individually, we thought it would be good to do a comparison review to see what "real world" difference is between them.

To put it as simple as possible, whenever determining what will be best for the business, you need to think about:

How the cloud hosting will be used
Why you actually need the cloud hosting service for
How much operating system control you need for hosting or application development
Security accreditations

Whether you want a music player, a phone or laptop, if it bares the Apple logo you can be certain that your new device will be of a fantastic standard.

I know that I just asked a huge, overarching question, that could totally apply to everyone, but they were legitimate. I know both from anecdotes and personal experience that depending on usage, time of the year, solar alignment, and your karma, electronic devices can either last for days, or several hours. So to resolve this dilemma I have prepared 3 alternative energy sources. Two of these you have to charge yourself; as for the third, it draws energy from that giant nuclear furnace in the sky. Without further ado, let's begin the alternative energy trifecta.

Encryption options
Company customer support

Whether you want a music player, a phone or laptop, if it bares the Apple logo you can be certain that your new device will be of a fantastic standard.

While this is great news for consumers it can make choosing difficult, as the advantages of one high-end machine over another may not be immediately clear. When it comes to choosing from the fantastic laptops in the Mac range, deciding between the ultra-light MacBook Air and the sturdier and heavier MacBook Pro can be a tough choice. If you're the kind of person who relies on their laptop a lot, you'll want to make sure you bag the right features to suit your needs.

Does it have a battery? Do you use your mobile device often? Does it's battery run dry every now and again? I know that I just asked a huge, overarching question, that could totally apply to everyone, but they were legitimate. I know both from anecdotes and personal experience that depending on usage, time of the year, solar alignment, and your karma, electronic devices can either last for days, or several hours. So to resolve this dilemma I have prepared 3 alternative energy sources. Two of these you have to charge yourself; as for the third, it draws energy from that giant nuclear furnace in the sky. Without further ado, let's begin the alternative energy trifecta.

In addition to being a really cool piece of technology it is uber useful. In my work at TechwareLabs.com we review a LOT of hardware, pretty much anything that uses electricity. That means heat, and at times quite a bit of it. Wouldn't it be handy to see the heat that any given object puts off? You could isolate sources of heat and cold, find out if one part is hotter than another and get its exact temperature within 0.06 degrees C. For the more analytical among us it would be cool to see if those larger heatpipes actually convey more heat no pun intended. Introducing the E6 from Flir, a Thermal Imager for your needs.

Many people initially approach this from a pure cost standpoint, which is has been a common approach when shopping for HDD's in the past. Unfortunately, this approach can be dangerous when applied to shopping for your first/next SSD, as cheaper more than likely guarantees you end up with an inferior drive as it relates to performance, compatibility, and endurance. So what's the safest general approach? Avoiding a lengthy write up, you're safest approach is to look to companies that have been successful in the memory...

Although we have reviewed some of these drives individually, we thought it would be good to do a comparison review to see what "real world" difference is between them.

In an attempt to win the consumer over there competitor’s iteration of the gaming keyboard, they have become more functional and fashionable. Unfortunately, as we have seen to many times here at TechwareLabs, fashion and function don’t always mix. The trend of sleek and stylish hit the keyboard market some time ago, and the market was flooded with membrane or chiclet style keyboards that looked great, but as time passed, failed to hold up to the heavy use and performance scrutiny of serious...

How the cloud hosting will be used
Why you actually need the cloud hosting service for
How much operating system control you need for hosting or application development
Security accreditations
Encryption options

Whether you want a music player, a phone or laptop, if it bares the Apple logo you can be certain that your new device will be of a fantastic standard.

While this is great news for consumers it can make choosing difficult, as the advantages of one high-end machine over another may not be immediately clear. When it comes to choosing from the fantastic laptops in the Mac range, deciding between the ultra-light MacBook Air and the sturdier and heavier MacBook Pro can be a tough choice.

Encryption options
Company customer support

Whether you want a music player, a phone or laptop, if it bares the Apple logo you can be certain that your new device will be of a fantastic standard.
