PETA and hunters and drones, Oh My! One would expect the first big flap over the use of drones would be contained to the protection of personal privacy of the US citizen. Not the case here. Hunters have taken up the call to put a stop to PETA's Air Angels program that monitors the actions of game hunters.
"If they spot any illegal activity, PETA members are advised to report it to a local game warden and not take any further action themselves.

Who says Steve Ballmer wasn't good for Microsoft? According to Wall Street, the resignation of CEO Steve Ballmer has helped drive the Microsoft stock up 34% in 2013. Too bad he is a one trick pony, only one resignation to a CEO, please.
Ironically, some of the boost to Microsoft's share price came from Wall Street's favorable reaction to Ballmer's retirement plans.

And another one bites the dust. LG Electronics, a relative newcomer into the PC industry, has decided to quit the declining PC market and refocus its interest on more profitable product lines.

Microsoft Tries to Trademark 'Mod' in the US
Nice try Microsoft, but you are about 50 years too late to make any impact by employing the 'mod' tag. Adding to the already jumbled mess created by the use of Mod to describe Windows 8/8.1 interface isn't going to help. Best bet would be for Microsoft to hire a whole new crew for their product naming.
Since then, Microsoft types have employed a variety of names to describe the interface, including "Metro-style", while some continue to use Metro.

Firefox for Windows 8 Delayed Again
Mozilla has once again extended the release date of its long awaited Firefox for Windows 8. If they keep extending the release date, Mozilla could just change the name to Firefox for Windows 9 and be first to the party instead of dead last with Windows 8.
That leaves us where we are now, with another bump to Firefox 28's release. Whether the trigger will finally be pulled in March, or another delay will take place is yet to be seen.

Robocoin Shipping First 2 Bitcoin ATMs to Asia this Month
Bitcoin may be coming to a street corner near you pretty soon. The first of 45 Bitcoin ATMs will begin shipment to Asia this month, followed by more installations in Canada, Europe and the US.
CEO Jordan Kelly told VentureBeat that Robocoin's goal is to bring Bitcoin to the masses and make it "grandma-friendly." The first machine opened for business in October in a coffee shop in Vancouver, Canada.
