As families across the country come together to celebrate the holidays, satellite TV giants Dish Network and DirecTV are wishing them a Merry Christmas by hiking the cost of their service plans. In line with years past, both companies have confirmed that they will raise the prices of various television packages and increase service fees as well.

AMD to Host News Conference at 2014 International CES
AMD today announced that Lisa Su, senior vice president and general manager, Global Business Units, will host a news conference at the 2014 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES). The invitation-only event, taking place in Las Vegas on Jan. 6 at 4 p.m. PST, will cover the latest consumer technologies and innovations from AMD.

A live video webcast of the news conference can be accessed on the AMD CES web page and on the Investor Relations homepage. A live Twitter feed can also be followed at both @amd and #AMDCES. A replay of the webcast can be accessed on the Investor Relations homepage and on YouTube within 24 hours after the conclusion of the live event and will be available for one year after the conference.

TV Anchor Shows Off Bitcoin, Is Instantly Robbed
Do we even have a "Dumbass of the Day" category? Well, thanks to this guy, I guess we have one now.

While on air, Miller surprised Bloomberg anchors Adam Johnson and Trish Regan each with $20 worth of Bitcoin. But as Johnson received the paper gift, he briefly exposed the QR code. Immediately, someone lifted the QR code and stole the $20.

Judge Says Hulu Must Face Privacy Lawsuit
As much as we hate lawsuits, maybe companies will stop this crap if they were drug into court every time they did it.

Hulu has failed to persuade a federal judge to dismiss a lawsuit accusing the video streaming service of illegally sharing users' viewing history with Facebook Inc and business metrics company comScore Inc. In San Francisco on Friday, U.S. Magistrate Judge Laurel Beeler rejected Hulu's argument that viewers needed to show actual injury to recover damages, even if they qualified as "aggrieved" persons under a 1988 federal law protecting the privacy of video renters.
