Windows 8 Ultrabooks to Go 100 Percent Touch

The August share increase was due to "a good number of under-$500 Win 8 touch notebooks. I am increasingly optimistic that Touch will drive significant volumes this holiday."

Google: All Your Passwords Are Belong To Us
Forget the FBI and NSA snooping. Beware of Google collecting your Wi-Fi passwords and doing it with your permission. Be afraid, be very afraid.

I believe the expression would be close, but no cigar. Try as they might, Microsoft has tidied up a bit with Windows 8.1, but still misses the mark addressing users' main objections to the OS. Well, there's always Windows 8.2.

Except for small differences, like the return of the neutered Start button — without a Start menu — and a small down arrow on the Start screen pointing to where you can find your applications, there aren't a lot of visual changes from Windows 8 to Windows 8.1.
