Western Digital Sentinel DX4000 16TB
Looking for a network attached storage device for your small business, home office or massive media collection? Check out this review of the 16TB Western Digital Sentinel DX4000 at eTeknix today.

The Sentinel is a first in a line of self designed NAS solutions that can be purchased with drives pre-installed in a variety of capacities, varying from a modest 2TB, right up to a whopping 16TB. Unlike other NAS solutions on the market, one of the main features that sets this system apart from the rest is the use of Windows Storage Server 2008 and a auto configuration process during the initial set-up that automatically builds the drives into a RAID5 array – the preferred choice for NAS solutions as this gives the best data security and will ensure no data is lost, should one drive fail during operation.

Weirdest Thing You Will See All Day
If you visit Vogue's UK website and enter the old school "up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, B, A, enter" code, dinosaurs with weird hairdos run across the bottom of the screen. Don't ask how I know this.

MSI GTX 780 TwinFrozr Gaming
The crew at techPowerUP! published a review of the MSI GTX 780 TwinFrozr Gaming video card that is certainly worth checking out.

MSI's GeForce GTX 780 GAMING is a factory overclocked custom design GTX 780. It is the quietest GTX 780 we tested so far, making it a great choice for gamers who want low noise levels. With a price of $650 it is just $10 more expensive than the reference design, a reasonable price increase.

Fractal Design Define XL R2 Case
Need a big case? Head on over to Legit Reviews and check out the fellas review of the Fractal Design Define XL R2.

Fractal Design's Define XL R2 definitely did not let us down in the style department. It's so simplistic and sleek that it's very pleasing to the eye. I was also happy to see very little plastic in this case, but the trade-off of that is a heavier case. I don't know how many of you would be transporting or constantly moving a full ATX case, so weight probably won't be an issue.

Now that we know Windows 8 will be out by August, I wonder if we are going to see a price drop at the same time?

Microsoft delivered a public preview of Windows 8.1 on June 26 during its Build conference. There are no more preview/test builds scheduled. The next stop is RTM. Microsoft will make Windows 8.1 available to all Windows 8 and Windows RT users as a free upgrade through the Windows Store.

"Weird Paranoia" at Valve, Says Former Employee
I don't know about you, but this sounds like almost every job on the planet. High school carries over into college, then into the workforce, then your social life...and then you die (hopefully it ends there).

Valve is an iconic game company. It has a unique corporate structure. One former employee, however, said it "felt a lot like high school", complete with popular kids, troublemakers, and everyone in between. Then, there's the alleged "weird paranoia".

Corsair Carbide Series AIR 540
Our evaluation of the Corsair Carbide Series AIR 540 ATX cube case is now online for your viewing pleasure. If you are in the market for a new case, make sure you read this review before buying a new case.

Corsair is adding a somewhat nonconformist computer case design to its product stack with the AIR 540. Its product features tout better cooling, easier adaptation of high end air and water cooling, all while being a quieter solution. The AIR 540 looks to be a simple cube shape, but inside it holds an uncommon dual chamber design.

Aliens: Colonial Marines Getting DLC?
Aliens: Colonial Marines DLC? This has to be some kind of joke. Oh well, if anything, this is good for a laugh.

The add-on is the final slice of DLC promised in the game's Season Pass, but the first to expand Aliens: Colonial Marines' single-player mode. Statis Interrupted has yet to be announced - we still don't know a release date or price - but the add-on's PlayStation Trophies leaked over the weekend.

Mattrick Tried To Buy Zynga While Still At Microsoft
If this report is true, you'd think Mattrick would be thankful he dodged a bullet three years ago when talks to buy Zynga fell threw back then. Apparently not. At least now he'll just be running the company.

In 2010, Mattrick negotiated with Zynga founder Mark Pincus about buying the maker of such popular games as "FarmVille," according to people with knowledge of the matter. The idea was to bolster Microsoft's Xbox lineup with social games that then were adding millions of users on Facebook Inc. (FB)'s network each week. The discussions ultimately fell apart, said the people, who asked not to be identified because the talks were private.

ASUS Z87-Plus Motherboard
The ASUS Z87-Plus motherboard is on the test bench at Overclockers Club today. If you are contemplating a Haswell upgrade, this review is right up your alley.

In the end it isn't all about how the board looks; it comes down to how well the board performs. Does it catch on fire while overclocking? Or does it allow you to clock like a beast? I guess the most important factor is the lack of fire (hopefully), but ultimately this review comes down to the numbers. Let's take the ASUS Z87-Plus board for a test drive and see if it's worth taking home today.
