Wasting Money On Video Game Violence Research
You have to wonder how much money the government is going to waste on these studies before they finally get it through their thick skulls games do not cause real world violence.
And though studies, with the exception of a few, have pointed out that a connection between fantasy video game violence and real-world violence doesn't, in fact, exist, the Centers for Disease Control is stepping up its efforts to research a possible link between the two.

Fired Over A Facebook Post
Here's a "fired over a Facebook post" that doesn't involve somebody doing something incredibly stupid. In fact, it is the exact opposite.
"About 15 minutes into our ride, I asked him (the student) how his day was. He told me, 'Mr. Johnny, I'm hungry,'" Cook said. "When I asked him why, he said he didn't eat lunch that day. When I asked him why not, he told me, 'When I took my tray to the register, they told me I didn't have any money on my account.'"

It Was Apple's Way Or The Highway, E-book Execs Say
I find it hard to believe Apple has a "my way or the highway" attitude. It just doesn't seem like the Apple that is adored by millions.
David Shanks, CEO of Penguin Group USA, and Carolyn Reidy, CEO of Simon & Schuster, said the price-matching clause in their contracts with Apple would have hurt them financially had they not also moved all other e-book retailers to a model where publishers set prices. The publishers had previously sold books at a heavily discounted rate on a wholesale basis, something they couldn't afford given the cut Apple took on sales.

GIGABYTE Z87-D3HP Motherboard
After spending a little quality time with the GIGABYTE Z87-D3HP, the gang at Vortez seem to be genuinely pleased with the motherboard. Here's a quote from the review:
GIGABYTE's Z87-D3HP will surprise many because it looks more expensive than it actually is. Many lower-end motherboards tend to cut back not only on features but also aesthetics but D3HP still oozes the quality of a higher-end model with its sleek matt black PCB and gun metal heatsinks. Ultra Durable 5 Plus comes as standard on this motherboard so consumers needn't worry about the quality either. Can this really be too good to be true?
