Fractal Design lists Haswell-compatible PSUs
Intel's upcoming Haswell CPUs have a new sleep state that draws just 0.05A on the 12V rail—one tenth the idle draw of existing Ivy bridge chips. Not all PSUs can supply that little 12V current, and those that can't may have problems waking Haswell from its lowest-power state. Corsair and Seasonic have already detailed which of their PSUs are compatible with Haswell's new sleep state. Today, it's Fractal Design's turn.

Mirasol lives, 1.5-inch display is coming 'soon'
E-ink displays are great. They can be used in direct sunlight, and they're as easy on the eyes as real paper. Unfortunately, they're also usually black and white, and they refresh far too slowly for anything besides basic e-reading.

Toshiba to start producing second-gen 19-nm NAND this month
Later this month, Toshiba will begin mass-producing NAND using a second-generation 19-nm process. According to the press release, the 64Gb (8GB) chips will be the world's smallest with two bits per cell. Each one will have a die size of 94 mm², which appears to be 17% reduction from the previous generation. The presumably gen-one 19-nm chips discussed in this Toshiba presentation (PDF) from last year have the same 64Gb capacity and a 112.8 mm² die area.

Gigabyte offers early peek at Z87 motherboards
Intel's next-generation processor isn't due for a couple of weeks, but that isn't stopping motherboard makers from previewing their wares. We've already seen what Asus has in store for Intel's upcoming flagship Z87 platform. Now, it's Gigabyte's turn to show off. We flew down to Los Angeles last week to check out the company's upcoming boards, and we have much to report.
Gigabyte's Z87 boards are split into three main categories: overclocking, gaming, and everything else. The OC models are really designed for the hard-core overclocking crowd; unless ...
