OCZ Adds to Vertex Line
OCZ has announced the release of the Vertex 450 solid state drive, the latest iteration in the popular lineup. Featuring the Indilinx Barefoot 3 M10 controller, the Vertex 450 offers read and write speeds up to 540MB/s and 530MB/s, respectively. The latest controller offers AES-256 encryption and a power-optimized clock, while also offering up to 90,000 Input/Output operations per second. Senior VP of Product Management Daryl Lang said, “The Vertex 450 marks the first time this popular OCZ series utilizes in-house ASIC technology delivering an even greater level of speed, reliability and value for our customers.”  The Vertex 450 will be available in capacities of 128GB and 512GB.

G.Skill Hosting Overclocking Event at Computex
G.Skill will be hosting a four day overclocking event at Computex from June 4-7 as it attempts to retake the title of “The world’s fastest memory manufacturer.” Each day will feature three representatives from G.Skill and a representative from ASUS, MSI, EVGA, or Gigabyte. The teams will be using unlocked Intel fourth generation Core processors, Z87 motherboards, and the latest extreme DDR3 memory from G.Skill in an attempt to break a number of overclocking and benchmark records. The tests setups will also use Cooler Master SPM2 1500W power supplies and Kingpin liquid nitrogen cooling. Mushkin Partners With Ubisoft, Releases Stealth RAM
A pair of announcements from Mushkin are poised to benefit gamers and system builders. The company has expanded the Stealth line of memory modules, first introduced at CES earlier this year. The all-black memory modules are cooled by the Mushkin Stiletto heat spreader with speeds up to 2666MHz. The Stealth line is compatible with third generation Intel Core processors as well as the latest offerings from AMD. In conjunction with the release of the memory modules, Mushkin has partnered with Ubisoft to give buyers a little something extra. Director of Product Management Brian Flood added, "To celebrate our Stealth memory success starting June 1, 2013, gaming fans who purchase Mushkin products through authorized partners will receive a Ghost Recon Online $15 Value game code -- free."
