Intel CEO: Windows 8 Touch Devices To Drop to $200
Watch how fast people become fans of Windows 8 when devices hit the $200 mark. Too bad the Surface Pro wasn't $200.

The price of Windows 8 touch devices, including laptops, will sink to price points that penetrate inexpensive tablet territory. "If you look at touch-enabled Intel-based notebooks that are ultrathin using [Bay Trail] processors. Those prices are going to be down to as low as $200," said Intel CEO Paul Otellini.

White House Opposes CISPA In Its Current Form
Oh look, a political standoff. No worries, politicians seem to have a way of getting around everything. If not, they'll just reintroduce similar bills until it eventually does pass.

Specifically, the White House remains concerned that CISPA does not require companies to "take reasonable steps" to strip personal information when sharing user data with the government or other businesses. This has been a major point of contention between CISPA supporters and civil libertarians, who worry that the bill would give companies immunity for swapping user data inappropriately.

Forced Baptism In Bioshock Infinite = Refund?
So you are okay with killing boatloads of enemies but a mandatory baptism scene makes you ask for a refund? I'm not as smitten with Bioshock Infinite as everyone else seems to be but this is kind of ridiculous.

I wish to return/exchange this game (Bioshock Infinite) for steam credit or refund on the grounds that I cannot play it. I cannot play it because at the very beginning of the game there is a section of the game that is so offensive to my religious beliefs that I cannot proceed with it any further. I did not know this section of the game was there and had no way of knowing it was there before-hand as it was not shown in any trailers, previews, screenshots or other marketing material.

I love computers! They are the greatest thing in the world! Well, until something like this happens. Computers SUCK!

American Airlines this afternoon grounded its entire fleet of planes because of a computer problem with its reservation and booking system. The airline alerted the public to the issue via Twitter just after noon. That was followed by another tweet announcing a "system-wide ground delay until 4:00 p.m. CT."

Fractal Design Arc Midi R2 Case
Benchmark Reviews has the Fractal Design Arc Midi R2 in house for a little review action today. Overall it seems like the gang was impressed with this case. Here's a quote from the review:

One thing Fractal Design does well is presentation. There is a design language at work here that flows through everything they do - even the manual follows suit. I think Fractal Design single-handedly made me a fan (please excuse the pun) of white bladed fans and contrasting looks. While NZXT does this nicely as well, Fractal Design manages it with a subtly powerful design that blends in with any décor.

Technology That Allows Blind People To Drive
Technology like this is really cool, I just don't see it being mainstream for a long, long time. Besides, I don't think you guys want my mom on the road any time soon.

The driverless car uses a combination of GPS, laser, radar and 3D environment data that was likely to have been collected by Google's other cars, the ones whose picture-taking brought us Street View. Mahan, 60, believes blind people will be driving in his lifetime and, after experiencing several journeys in the Google car, says he'd be confident enough to use one now if it had talking controls.

IRS To Update E-Mail Search Policy
During a U.S. Senate hearing today, the IRS says it will abandon its no-warrant-required policy within the next thirty days. No decision was made on snooping on social media accounts.

The head of the Internal Revenue Service said today the agency would abandon its controversial policy that claimed the right to read taxpayers' e-mail without first obtaining a search warrant. Steven Miller, the IRS' acting commissioner, said at a U.S. Senate hearing that the no-warrant-required policy would be ditched within 30 days for e-mail, but he did not make the same commitment for other private electronic communications.

At the beginning of this evaluation, we wanted to answer Corsair's question "What will you do with all this room?" The easiest way to answer that question is with another question "What couldn't you do given all this room?" The massive amounts of space in the Obsidian 900D allows for multiple water cooling loops, fifteen fans, fifteen hard drives, with room left over for a quad-GPU setup, and dual power supplies.

Pirate Bay Founder Charged With Hacking A Bank
If these allegations are true, this guy is a bigger idiot than we thought.

A Swedish prosecutor has announced new hacking related charges against Pirate Bay co-founder Gottfrid Svartholm. Together with three others he is suspected of hacking several companies including a bank, from where the defendants allegedly attempted to transfer money.
