Attorneys General And Facebook Announce Online Safety Campaign
Didn't they try this type of thing once before when that whole "sexual predator" thing was big on MySpace a few years back?

"At Facebook, we work hard to make sure people understand how to control their information and stay safe online. We're always looking for new partners in that endeavor – that's why we're thrilled to collaborate with the National Association of Attorneys General," said Facebook Chief Operating Officer Sheryl Sandberg. "We're grateful for Maryland Attorney General Doug Gansler's leadership on this issue, and we look forward to working with him and attorneys general around the country. Together, we hope to ensure that young people make safe, smart, and responsible choices online."

Comcast Is Now Encrypting Basic Cable Data
Are there really that many people stealing basic cable? Seriously, this seems like a lot of money (encryption, new boxes, etc. etc.) just to keep people from stealing the channels nobody likes anyway.

Consumers who already use a Comcast-provided set-top box on all of their TV sets don't have to worry, their service will continue to work as before. But if you have a TV in your den that's hooked up to your cable outlet without a set-top box, then you're going to have to get an adapter to keep it working.

We Need Better Video Game Publishers
This is definitely the must read article of the day. An anonymous developer, with more than a decade in the industry, gives you a little insight into how and why the game industry is currently so screwed up.

To give you an idea about how bad publisher influence can be, consider this: during production meetings, publishing execs often have someone—often the developer—"drive" a game so they can see how it is coming together. The publishing people all watch and then make passive, aesthetic appraisals of active, functional aspects of a game. This is because the bulk of execs can't and don't want to play or understand how games work. They don't want to play. This would be akin to editors in literary publishing being unable to read or write.

The New Resume: It's 140 Characters
I'm not saying this article is full of crap but I'd hate to be the slacker that "tweeted" his resume in when there is a line of people with PhDs taking the time to submit a real resume.

Fed up with traditional recruiting sites and floods of irrelevant résumés, some recruiters are turning to the social network to post jobs, hunt for candidates and research applicants. Job seekers, in turn, are trying to summarize their CVs in 140 characters or six-second videos.

4 Of The 5 Highest Paid Executives Are From Apple
Four out of the five of the highest-paid people on the S&P 500 list are Apple employees. Honestly, the company is making money hand over fist and their customers are happy so who cares.

Four of the five highest-paid employees at Standard & Poor's 500 companies aren't chief executive officers. They're Apple Inc. (AAPL) senior lieutenants receiving compensation packages designed to keep management intact in an increasingly competitive industry.

Scammers Turn Fake Parts Into Real iPhones
I'm not laughing at this just because it's Apple....okay, maybe I am...but it is still pretty funny.

Five employees at a Chinese electronics store have been arrested for a scam in which they claimed to have carried out iPhone repairs, sending components from fake phones back to Apple and using the 'replacement' parts to build and sell real iPhones.
