European data watchdogs said on Monday they plan to take action against Google by this summer for its privacy policy, which allows the search engine to pool user data from across all its services ranging from YouTube to Gmail. China Tops U.S. As World's Largest Smart Device Market This may come as a shock to some but China, having over one billion more people than the U.S., is now the world's largest market for smart devices. A year after becoming the fastest-growing market for smart devices, China is expected to account for 246 million active Android and iOS smartphones and tablets at the end of February, compared with 230 million in the U.S., according to mobile analytics firm Flurry.
