Microsoft Offers Surface Complete Warranty for Only $99 This just keeps on getting better and better. Since the release of the report putting the Surface RT and Surface Pro at the bottom of the reparability list, Microsoft has made available a two year cover-all warranty for the devices. You would be really be missing out by not participating, but it's not the best way to promote a brand new line of products. Windows Blue Confirmed in New Microsoft Job Listings Job listings on Microsoft's website are verifying the rumors that have been circulating for months over the Windows Blue project. Windows Blue is a codename for the improvements to be implemented on Windows 8 projects; much of it comes from user feedback, comments and suggestions to improve Windows 8 OS components. Cern Shuts Down LHC After Three Years of Operations The Large Hadron Collider has fallen silent for the first time in three years. The downtime is a planned upgrade of the LHC to continue with the research at much higher rate of speed. The work at Cern has provided the research results proving the existence of the Higgs Boson and awaiting confirmation on the findings. R.I.P. Posterous After less than a year under the new management of Twitter, Posterous announced on Friday that all services will be shut down as of April 30th. It has long been thought that Twitter purchased the company solely for its knowledgeable staff and also to migrate Posterous' clientele over to Twitter. Zynga and Electronic Arts Settle 'The Ville' Lawsuit In an undisclosed behind-closed-door deal, Zynga and Electronic Arts reached a settlement over disputes concerning the similarities between The Ville and Sims Social. EA brought suit against Zynga in August for copyright infringements. The details of the settlement were not announced, only that litigation between the two companies is over. Apple Store Forced to Change its Name No, it's not what you think. The Apple Store in question has been in business for 20 years in the UK without a hitch selling apple products……real apple products like apples and cider. No strong arm tactics by Apple Corporation to change the name, only the incessant phone calls to repair the other Apple's products.
