Samsung's Galaxy Note is a curious device. It's too large to be a smartphone, too small to be a tablet, and there's an old-school stylus to complement the capacitive touchscreen. Now, the supersized handset has a bigger brother, the Galaxy Note 10.1. Formally introduced today, the new Samsung tablet has a number of interesting tricks up its sleeve, including the ability to multitask with side-by-side applications. Internal e-mail: Jobs was 'very receptive' to 7'' iPad
In public, Steve Jobs dumped all over the idea of a 7" iPad. AppleInsider quoted him two years ago as saying, "The reason we [won't] make a 7-inch tablet isn't because we don't want to hit that price point, it's because we think the screen is too small to express the software." Was it all just clever misdirection?
