Stardock Sues Ex-Employee for $1M
Let me get this straight...a single employee that allegedly deleted marketing data turned your game into a pile o' crap, riddled with bugs and broken AI? Umm, okay.
Stardock says in its filing that the loss of the materials led to a detraction from programming, debugging, and other responsibilities, and Elemental was subsequently unsuccessful in the marketplace, "earning a fraction of its anticipated profits and causing [Stardock] damages of over $1,000,000".

Apple Slams Proposed E-Book Settlement
To say Apple is "not pleased" with the Justice Department's proposed settlement would be an understatement.
The proposed settlement -- with Lagardere SCA's Hachette Book Group, News Corp.'s HarperCollins Publishers, and Simon & Schuster (owned by CBS, which publishes CNET) -- requires the three e-book publishers to terminate their existing contracts with Apple. Apple, which denied the Justice Department's allegations, said the publishers' settlement unfairly impacts Apple and would be "irreversible."

Ecuador Grants Asylum to Assange
Ecuador's foreign minister announced today that his country has granted political asylum to Julian Assange. It looks as though Assange is now stuck in the embassy indefinitely.
An Ecuadorean official said late Wednesday that the British government had made it clear it would not allow Mr. Assange to leave the country to travel to Ecuador, so even with a grant of asylum or similar protection, he would probably remain stuck in the embassy.

Microsoft Surface for Windows RT for $199?
While most enthusiasts are waiting for the "Pro" version of the Surface, a $199 price point would probably go along way towards helping the hobbled RT version sell.
That MSRP, almost certainly lower than Microsoft's own cost, would line it up against the Nexus 7 and even the Kindle Fire. It would put Windows 8 on the map in a big way and give a lot of people a lot of reason to try out an operating system that is going to feel rather different than previous incarnations.

Man Claiming Half Ownership Of Facebook Fined Again
Another setback for the man that claims to be half owner of Facebook. Hell, with all the fines this guy is getting, he's going to need half of Zuckerberg's cash just to pay the courts.
U.S. Magistrate Judge Leslie G. Foschio today ordered the release of the letter, in which one of Ceglia's former law firms advises two other former Ceglia law firms that it had determined that the purported contract with Facebook co-founder Mark Zuckerberg was a fraud. India Says It'll Will Be On Mars By 2013
India claims that it will be on Mars by the end of 2013....have tech support for the planet set up soon afterwards.
Without a doubt, India's plan is ambitious — almost certainly overly so given that the country is still struggling with mastering manned space flight. And that doesn't even mention the fact that the Curiosity program took years to plan and execute; India would be building a Mars plan from scratch. India is putting $82 million towards the initiative, far less than the U.S. has invested in similar missions.

While not as feature rich as some in the series, the P8Z77-V Pro does have a lot to offer, especially given its price point.
