Chrome Extension Kills Facebook Friends' Baby Pictures
Finally an extension for Facebook that might actually be worth installing. I'm not sure what all you can turn babies into (cats by default) but mousing over the pictures on the site turns babies into cars, sexy girls, dogs and BACON, just to name a few.

Digital Pills Approved By The FDA
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has approved digital pills. Wait...what the hell is a digital pill?
Created by Proteus Digital Health, the technology places tiny silicon chips on each pill. These sand-grain-sized sensors also contain magnesium and copper, a mix of metals that generates an electric charge when exposed to stomach acid. That charge ultimately makes its way to a patch on the skin, which transmits a notification that the pill has been taken to a doctor's smartphone.

XSPC Raystorm Copper Water Block
The PureOC gang has just published a review of the XSPC Raystorm copper water block. It seems as though they really liked the looks and performance of this water block but didn't care for the price tag or mounting hardware.
RayStorm is the catchy name for XSPC’s flagship CPU water block. RayStorm has garnered many awards for its outstanding thermal performance, including the PureOC Editor’s Choice Award six months ago. However, the water block has received some criticism from water cooling enthusiasts. Some enthusiasts, for example, questioned the durability of the acrylic hold-down bracket and the non-metal block’s housing. Recognizing that enthusiasts can be tough crowd to please, XSPC has made improvements to an already outstanding water block to address these concerns. Today we have the opportunity to take a close look at the result of XSPC’s improvements – the RayStorm Full Copper water block.

3D Printed Technology Gone Wrong
When I say this is 3D printed technology gone wrong, I mean it in a "$1,200 fetus replica" kind of way. You'll have to click the link for the picture, I'm not posting that creepy ass stuff here.
Japanese engineering company Fasotec is now helping spruce up the mantle over your fireplace by offering "Shape of an Angel," a 3D-printed replica of your fetus while it was in the womb. The fetus is photographed using an MRI, then run through 3D imaging software and sent to the 3D printer. White resin is used to make the fetus, and clear resin is used to make the mother’s womb, and the positioning and appearance of the model fetus matches that of the actual fetus.

Computer Hacking For 8-Year-Olds
CNN has an article posted today on computer hacking for 8-year-olds. Believe it or not, this is not an article detailing the inner workings of a training camp for Anonymous.
For the second year in a row, Def Con organizers included a full schedule of Def Con Kids programs for beginner hackers ages 8 to 18. The children and teens, who must be accompanied by a parent, learned how to pick locks, competed to find the most bugs in mobile apps and learned about digital forensics by investigating a mock crime scene in a hotel room. Some skilled young hackers also taught classes and gave talks.

US Aims To Block Bid To Give UN Control Of Internet
You can have the internet when you pry it from our cold, dead hands.
"The Internet has grown precisely because it has not been micro-managed or owned by any government or multinational organization," Kramer told a forum sponsored by the Information Technology Industry Council. "There is no Internet central office. Its openness and decentralization are its strengths."

Google Refuses AG’s Request for Documents
You know you have too much power when you can routinely "turn down" requests from the office of the Attorney General. Hell, normal people can't get out of simple stuff like jury duty.
So much for Google’s promise to cooperate with the Texas attorney general’s investigation of its business practices. With that pledge now two years in the past and gathering dust, the company is taking a decidedly different approach to Texas AG Greg Abbott’s repeated requests for documents it has allegedly been withholding from his office. Having first requested more time to produce the documents demanded of it, Google is now simply refusing to turn them over.
