U.S. appeals court refuses stay on injunction on Galaxy Tab 10.1 sales
A U.S. appeals court denied Samsung on Thursday a stay on a preliminary injunction by a District Court on the sale of its Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablet, in a patent dispute with Apple. The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit also denied Samsung's motion to expedite its appeal against the District Court's orders. "Samsung may of course significantly self-expedite the case by filing its own brief early," the court said, while stating that the Korean company had not shown that the time for Apple to file its brief should be shortened.

Heroku releases easy Mac Postgres for devs
To simplify life for developers, platform-as-a-service provider Heroku has released a version of the open source Postgres database designed to be easily run on Apple Macintosh computers. Canonical equips Ubuntu with desktop Web apps
Canonical is adding a new feature to its Ubuntu operating system that will allow desktop users to access popular Internet services without opening a browser window. Instead, a Web page can be accessed as a desktop application. Using this feature, a Web page "will feel like an application on your device," said Pete Goodall, Canonical product manager. "We want to make the line between desktop apps and Web apps a little less distinct."

Zoho links its office suite with Google Drive
Zoho has integrated its cloud-hosted office productivity applications with the Google Drive online storage service, Zoho said in a blog post.
