EA: Dead Space 1 & 2 Were 'Too Scary'
Okay, I read what this lady said and I think this is pure PR speak. Why can't companies just come right out and say "we already have the horror crowd, we are just trying to cash in on the co-op / action crowd now too." I'm not sure what going to a scary movie with her husband has to do with the game either.

"The horror of Dead Space is still all there. It's still true to its roots and no less scary, but people felt far more comfortable playing it with someone else than they did doing it on their own. "Personally, I would rather go to scary movie with my husband rather than sit at home with the lights out watching one on my own.

The Reason Most Pirates Don't Go Legit
Why do pirates choose to go the illegal route? Apparently they want to go legit but convenience, choice and availability (and free) keep them on the dark side. Whoddathunkit?

People who obtain movies and TV shows from the Internet through unauthorized and often illegal channels would actually prefer not to do if they were given the chance. That's one of the findings of a new survey into consumer habits which reveals that although lower cost is often cited as a tool for reducing piracy, three other issues are driving people to break the law – convenience, choice and availability.

Broadband: U.S. Consumers Pay More For Less
Studies like this are downright embarrassing. Anyone want to take a guess as to why people in Hong Kong get 500/500Mbps for the same price we pay for 25/2Mbps?

The results add weight to a growing body of evidence that suggests that the U.S. is lagging behind many of its international counterparts, most of whom have much higher levels of competition and, in turn, offer lower prices and faster Internet service. It suggests that policymakers need to re-evaluate our current policy approaches to increase competition and encourage more affordable high-speed Internet service in the U.S.

This Is Why Girls Suck At Gaming
A "Why girls suck at gaming" article....written by a guy. Instead of the pretty girl pictured in this article, he could have used one of those "not sure if serious" pics with a trollface plastered on it.

There's an air of superiority when it comes to their attitude towards gaming, like playing games is beneath them. Let's just, for the moment, ignore the fact that girls play games with our emotions, with our wallets, and above all… our sanity. From a certain perspective, video games really ARE beneath them.
