Does this mean people that loathe Facebook apps won't see any ads? Now there's an idea!
The targeting continues. Unnamed sources tell The Wall Street Journal that the social network will start rolling out targeted ads based on which apps Facebook users access.

Awesome Amazon Shipment of the Day
I don't care what anyone says, I love everything about Amazon's shipping. It's pretty speedy, well packed and, for the most part, it is usually free. Hell, even a twelve pack of Sharpies is shipped in style.

Yahoo, Facebook Settle Patent Lawsuits
It looks as though Yahoo's plan worked. The company filed a patent suit against Facebook and, just a few short months later, they have a patent portfolio cross-license agreement. It's pretty damn bad when you have to sue people to make them do deals with you.
Yahoo! and Facebook today announced that they have entered into definitive agreements that launch a new advertising partnership, extend and expand distribution arrangements, and settle all pending patent claims between the companies. Under the agreements, which include a patent portfolio cross-license, the parties will work together to bring consumers and advertisers premium media experiences promoted and distributed across both Yahoo! and Facebook. Yahoo! and Facebook will also work together to bring Yahoo!'s large media event coverage to Facebook users by collaborating on social integrations on the Yahoo! site.

High-Frequency Self-Aligned Graphene Transistors
Did that just say "record-high cutoff frequency up to 427 GHz?" Thanks to Jeffery Struss for the link.
A self-aligned process, enabled by the unique structure of the transferred gate stacks, is then used to position precisely the source and drain electrodes with minimized access resistance or parasitic capacitance. This process has therefore enabled scalable fabrication of self-aligned graphene transistors with unprecedented performance including a up to 427 GHz.

Cyberlocker Offers To Help Prosecute Its Own Customers
Hey, you know that cool cyberlocker you were paying to store all your copyright infringing content? You know what else you can buy there? All your personal data, including your IP address and banking information.
A cyberlocker being sued for $34.8 million by an adult studio agreed in principle to a remarkable set of demands to settle a copyright infringement lawsuit. TorrentFreak has learned that file-hosting service Oron said it would turn over the IP addresses, banking details and email addresses of users alleged to have infringed copyright. The troubled cyberlocker then offered to assist plaintiff Liberty Media in civil prosecutions against its own customers.

Best Buy Trying To Copy Apple's Look
This is just sad...on so many levels.
Best Buy is testing a new turnaround strategy: making its cavernous electronics emporiums look more like Apple's sleek retail outlets. The heart of a test store near Best Buy's headquarters here is a Solution Central help desk, rimmed with chairs and manned by the company's black-tied Geek Squad. It strongly resembles the Genius Bar at Apple's stores.

Cisco Drops Cloud From Default Router Settings
There is an update to the story we posted last week on that situation with Cisco routers. According to the company blog, Cisco is dropping its Connect Cloud service from the default router settings.
Since my last blog post, we've continued to receive questions about the service, privacy, and in particular the service terms of Cisco Connect Cloud. We believe lack of clarity in our own terms of service has contributed to many of our customers' concerns, and we apologize for the confusion and inconvenience this has caused. We take responsibility for that lack of clarity, and we are taking steps to make this right.
