A Beefy Miracle: Fedora 17 arrives with GNOME 3.4 and GIMP 2.8

The developers behind the Fedora project have announced the official release of Fedora 17, codenamed Beefy Miracle. The update includes the latest version of the GNOME desktop environment and a number of other improvements.
Fedora is a community-driven Linux distribution that is sponsored by Red Hat. It serves as a testbed for new functionality that is later included in Red Hat Enterprise Linux. It tends to be closely aligned with the upstream Linux desktop ecosystem and is often slightly ahead of the curve on adopting new technologies.

Facebook shares dive to record low under $30

Over-priced at launch, but is Facebook over-rated?

Around lunch time today, in the US, the Facebook share price dipped to about $29.50 after large volumes of shares were traded on NASDAQ.
That's a big fall from the initial IPO price which valued the company at around $100bn, if only momentarily.  Today's price puts the value of Facebook at about $63bn.
But, how much is it really worth, and will it go the same way as MySpace?

Cyberwarfare in the Middle-East uncovered

"Flame" - complex malware has been exposed by Kaspersky Labs

Malware known as Flame could have been targeting specific countries such as Israel, and Iran, since 2010.
Kasperky Labs, a Russian outfit, thinks that this could be the work of a government, and that the malware causes no damage, but steals private data from targeted organisations, and individuals.

Diablo 3 review

Warcraft somehow passed me by, StarCraft always seemed like a samey, hokey space western and WoW lost me as soon as I realised that there wasn't really any meaningful goal to the game.
