Inside the Mind of Stuart
For those of you that have never heard of Stuart, I invite you to take a trip down memory lane...deep Inside the Mind of Stuart. It is hard to believe it has been twelve years.

Twelve years ago an [H]'er by the name of Mark blessed us with the series of stories you will find cleaned up a bit and published once again here today. Tech based humor directly from "that guy" that we have all run into at least once. It has been a while since we have shared Inside the Mind of Stuart, and we hope you enjoy it again or for the first time.

Facebook Ad Trolls Charged $100K
I was just about to cheer this $100k fine...until I saw the part where it says the company makes $1.2M a month off these scam ads.

In a Washington court, the firm was charged $100,000 in attorneys fees and ordered to stop plastering Facebook with headlines "designed to trick Facebook users into allowing spam to be sent to all of their Facebook friends." Adscend was accused of violating the CAN-SPAM Act, and while it originally contemplated fighting the charges, chose to settle instead.

Twitter Fights Request For Protester's Data
It looks like there is a last ditch attempt by Twitter to get out of handing over the data belonging to that protester guy. For his sake, he better hope they are successful.

Prosecutors in Manhattan have sought to build a case around Harris' Tweets by arguing that they show Harris was "well aware of the police instructions, and acted with the intent of obstructing traffic on the bridge," according to court filings. Harris lost a bid to squash the subpoena in April, after a judge ruled that Twitter holds a license to its users' Tweets.

Man Fired For Using The Like Button On Facebook
Your "likes" on Facebook are not constitutionally protected. If you work for Pepsi and you "like" Coke's Facebook page, expect to be called on the carpet.

According to a ruling by Federal District Court Judge Raymond A. Jackson, you absolutely can be fired for using that Like button. "Simply liking a Facebook page is insufficient," wrote Jackson in his ruling. "It is not the kind of substantive statement that has previously warranted constitutional protection."

Anonymous Mad About Being Called Terrorists?
This story is rather amusing. Apparently Anonymous is all pissy over the new CoD: Black Ops 2 trailer because it shows a Guy Fawkes mask. I can't believe I am going to agree with Anonymous but they are not terrorists. Hell, at best they are vandals (and not very good ones) but not "terrorists."

The Guy Fawkes mask flashes briefly on the screen, twice. While the icon first entered pop culture in the graphic novel V for Vendetta, it has since been re-appropriated by the hacktivist group Anonymous. At least one Anonymous member decided to hit back with a counter video. In it, Anonymous supposedly threatens to hack Activision, deface the company's website, and disrupt its online servers.

ECS X79R-AX Deluxe Motherboard
The crew at Neoseeker have the ECS X79R-AX Deluxe motherboard in house for a little review action today.

The ECS X79R-AX Deluxe performed equally with the other motherboards we have tested based on the same platform. Breaking it down by the benchmarks, there were a few where the ECS model was ahead, and some where it was behind. However, the difference only ranged from 1% to 2%, so for all intents and purposes the performance was right where it should be for a board of this calibre.

Thermaltake Announces The Water2.0 Sweries
Thermaltake brought water cooling technology to the mainstream in 2002 with the introduction of Aquarius and BigWater Series of liquid cooling solutions for computer enthusiasts and DIYers. The solutions were developed by garnering enthusiast communities' experience and feedback, coupled with Thermaltake's core expertise in thermal management. The goal was to enable PC enthusiasts to achieve higher PC performance by providing additional cooling needed in order for the CPU to run at higher frequency. Today, Thermaltake is introducing its WATER2.0 line of liquid coolers and announcing immediate availability of the all-new WATER2.0 Performer and WATER2.0 Pro all-in-one closed-loop CPU liquid coolers.

The "2.0" in the name denotes the progression and improvements that Thermaltake has made in the performance liquid cooling segment as well as the new approach which WATER2.0 solutions are taking. While traditional D.I.Y. (do-it-yourself) liquid cooling kits offer expandability, the same benefit often complicates installation and filling these coolers introduces a risk of mixing water and electronics. WATER2.0 specifically addresses these concerns by having a closed-loop design, meaning all the fluid that are required for maximum performance are pre-filled and sealed inside so the users do not need to handle any type of liquid during installation or operation.

Head on over to FrostyTech today and read the gang's review of the Corsair Hydro H80 liquid cooling system. You can see our evaluation here for comparison purposes.

Corsair's Hydro H80 is a no fuss, no mess CPU liquid cooling solution that installs with ease onto Intel socket LGA2011/1366/1155/1156/775 and AMD socket AM3/AM2/FM1 processors. The unit consists of two parts, a 12v DC pump head with integrated reservoir and thin skived copper waterblock, and the fluid-to-air aluminum heat exchanger. While the Corsair Hydro H80 does perform exceptionally well, it ain't perfect."

How Long Before The Kickstarter Bubble Bursts?
While many people believe that Kickstarter is the wave of the future, others are wondering when the Kickstarter bubble will burst.

I think we have about six months left of that period. Towards the end of this year, some Kickstarter projects are going to start slipping. Some will see their teams collapse amidst bicker recriminations. Some pledgers are going to start getting very angry.
