Microsoft reveals three Windows 8 versions, mentions a fourth

We're not sure if this is good news, but it's most definitely not bad news, as Microsoft appears to finally have understood that having half a dozen different consumer oriented versions of Windows is a bad thing, the company will only offer three different versions of Windows 8 when it launches. As such, expect to see Windows 8, Windows 8 Pro and Windows RT.

WD brings the VelociRaptor back from the dead with 1TB version

Ah yes, mechanical drives spinning at 10,000rpm, once the dream of every computer nerd, but since the introduction of the SSD, we're not so sure there's much of a demand for Western Digital's VelociRaptor drives. Either which way, WD seems to think that there's enough demand and has revived the VelociRaptor range of drives and in its third iteration we're looking at larger capacities, more SKUs and better performance.
