Hulu Sued for Patent Infringement
In the lawsuit of the week, Hulu has been sued by Rovi Corporation over patent infringements. The three patents in question have to do with search products and program guide technology. The two corporations have been in talks since 2008 over the infringement issues, but Hulu chose not to enter into licensing agreements with Rovi.

In any case, Hulu isn't the only online media company that Rovi has taken to court recently. In January it sued Amazon and its IMDb property over five program guide patents.

ASRock CoreHT-252B HTPC
Overclockers Club has just posted a review of the ASRock CoreHT-252B HTPC. I know most of you build your own HTPCs but anyone looking for an off the shelf system will want to check this out.

If, on the other hand, you want an HTPC that can also act as a desktop replacement, look no further. There's adequate power for rendering of all sorts and the included RAM ought to cover most non-professional needs, but, if more is required, the board does support 8GB. Storage can be upgraded to include another 2.5" storage drive, and the included WD Scorpio Black could easily be replaced with an SSD. If more power is needed, the board will support the Core i7 2720m for more processing power (two more cores and threads!). A Blu-ray drive and wireless 802.11n wireless are included as standard.

AptiQuant offered free online IQ tests to over a 100,000 people and then plotted the average IQ scores based on the browser on which the test was taken. And the results are really not that surprising. With just a look at the graphs in the report, it comes out pretty clear that Internet Explorer users scored lower than average on the IQ tests. Chrome, Firefox and Safari users had just a teeny bit higher than average IQ scores. And users of Camino, Opera and IE with Chrome Frame had exceptionally higher IQ levels.

Twitter Begins Filtering NSFW Tweets
Twitter is now filtering NSFW tweets? What the f***? This is some bulls***! What a bunch of pu**ies.

"Beginning today you may notice a new boolean field in API responses & streams containing tweets: 'possibly_sensitive,'" writes the company on its developers blog. "This new field will only surface when a tweet contains a link. The meaning of the field doesn't pertain to the tweet content itself, but instead it is an indicator that the URL contained in the tweet may contain content or media identified as sensitive content."
