Thermaltake commits to the enthusiast community @ PCSTATS
If you are in the market for an ultralight notebook with a gorgeous LED backlit LCD and don't want to spend more than $1,000, the Lenovo IdeaPad U260 should be on your short list. The U260's claim to fame is its 12.5-inch form-factor, making it larger than your average netbook--but at a mere 18mm thick and 3 lbs, it's almost as light as one. Lenovo claims the U260 is the first 12.5-inch ultralight machine on the market, and pricing starts at $899... ... [IDEAPAD] via PCSTATS

Enermax LuxuRay Case @ PCSTATS
"While we had the pleasure of doing a hands-on review of the original Level 10 case, we were very excited with all the features Thermaltake emulated from it on the Level 10 GT. We were also highly impressed that Thermaltake was daring enough to try and create a consumer-level case out of the astronomically-priced Level 10 case. The overall design of the Level 10 GT is easily on par with the original Level 10, but Thermaltake included other related features like a hinged side panel door and removable hard drive cages." ... Augen EBA701 TheBook eBook Reader @ PCSTATS
"The Radeon HD 6870, contrary to its somewhat confusing name, is not the successor to the Radeon 5870. Instead, it acts as an almost direct replacement for the Radeon 5850, both in terms of performance and in price. Today we are looking at the Asus variant which has some exclusive features including the Voltage Tweak functionality we have come to particularly enjoy when overclocking." ... HTPC or used as a laptop backup and data recovery @ PCSTATS
"So Iآ’ve never quite figured out e-book readers, I never really liked them but then I never had one to actually judge for myself. I can gladly say that my mind has changed on the subject now that I have one. At one time I read a lot of books, at least one per week usually, but I was young and I didnآ’t have a family and I had a lot more time on my hands then. I think I need to start reading again and I just got 150 books to read included with the product I have for review today, the Augen TheBook eBook Reader. Geeks.com sent it over to me and it sells for under $100. It features a nice crisp and clear 7-inch screen, full keyboard and the ability to play videos and music. " ... [TESTFREAKS] via PCSTATS

8TB NAS: Upgrading a Synology Diskstation @ PCSTATS
"Back in December, AMD released their much awaited Cayman based HD69XX series of cards. It represented a transition to a revised architecture that was more catered towards compute performance with new features such as Morphological Anti-Aliasing and enhanced tessellation performance to meet the requirements of newer DX10/11 titles. For the most part, the HD6970 was a success despite its specifications appearing subtly different to the highly popular but ageing HD5870. Employing the VLIW4 architecture, AMD had managed to maintain improved performance over their previous generation of card without compromising on die size. We found the HD6970 to be an 18% improvement over the HD5870 on average despite sporting 1536 stream processors rather than the 1600 available on the Cypress HD5870 GPU. On the other hand, we were disappointed to see that for a next generation flagship graphics card (until we see the HD6990), the performance increase was still not enough to outcompete Nvidia's simultaneously released refreshed line-up..." ... MSI Radeon HD 6970 2GB Lightning Overclocked Video Card Review @ PCSTATS
"Intel's recently released 310 Series SSDs take a different approach to the other models in their product catalogue. The 310 series is based on a mini-PCIe technology, is a similar size to a laptop Wi-Fi adapter but still claims desktop like performance. Today we take a look at the 80GB model to find out what it offers the market in a selection of real world and synthetic tests against a standard 5400rpm laptop drive." ... ASUS Rampage III Black Edition review @ PCSTATS
I always seem to start these reviews by stating that the series of the card we're looking at is one of my favorite. It's not just some generic introduction and I really am a large fan of series' like the IceQ from HIS, Vapor-X from Sapphire, SOC from GIGABYTE and most of all, the MSI series including the Cyclone, HAWK and Lightning which we're looking at today. While most companies have a good stand-out series, MSI have an arsenal of them. The Cyclone is great for these lower end mid-range cards; the cooler is quiet and performs very well. You can kick it up a notch and start looking at the Twin Frozr series which tends to be reserved for the higher end cards. It's also quiet, performs well and is essentially a higher end version of the Cyclone series." ... [TWEAKTOWN] via PCSTATS

Rosewill Thor Full Tower Chassis Review @ PCSTATS
ASUS are launching the ASUS Rampage III Black Edition and it just has to be the most exclusive X58 motherboard we have ever had our hands on. Improved overclockability, black design (including a black colored BIOS). The spec-sheet might read pretty similar to last year's Rampage III Extreme, but there have been a few tweaks alright. The board now sports a quartet of PCIe x16 slots capable of supporting three-way SLI or four-way CrossFireX, support for 24GB DDR3 at speeds of up to 2,200MHz and then the fun begins, USB 3.0, SATA 6G, a ThunderBolt add-on card that integrates Xonar sound as well as BigFoot's Killer NPU. ... 2011 H1 Overclockers Choice Award Nominations Now Open @ PCSTATS
"Rosewill has delivered me a chassis that really made me think. While I sit here and try to put my finger on where this case design actually came from, it confuses me more and more. What I have been able to deduce is this is basically a HAF 932 that took on a major redesign along with adding things that make me think it resembles other chassis'. Basically, what I see is the basic concept resembles the HAF 932, but has been stretched taller inside by removing the top power supply mount. So what is the benefit to giving the interior the rack treatment? In this instance it opened the chassis to allow for XL-ATX motherboards, added space for another hard drive, and in the back the chassis can support up to 10 expansion cards. Seems all good so far! What throws me off in the design are two major elements. The left door panel has a cool mesh window that very much resembles what I have seen from IN WIN designs. The only thing making me think against it is that the grommets for the screws are black instead of the IN WIN green I am used to on this design. To be honest, I much prefer the black! The second element that throws me is the plastic front and top. While the front has an innovative trick up its sleeve, the top ventilation resembles what would typically be seen on a Raven design. Then as I am typing this, one of my friends from the UK mentions to me it has a similar OEM to his Xigmatek Utgard; it seems like quite the conglomeration of cases to take the fine points from." ... Core i5-2520QM and Asus' K53E 15-Inch Notebook - The HH Review @ PCSTATS
"At the start of the year we took a look at the very first speaker system from Corsair, the SP2500. And if you managed to catch the review, you would have seen that we were really very impressed with the level of performance on offer. The new sub design for the SP2200 is quite small and has a 6" driver inside of a side firing port loaded bass reflex enclosure. Space is clearly the number one goal here as Corsair has tried to shrink the enclosure down to an impossibly small size. The satellite speakers use a very compact 2" unit on its own inside of both speakers." ... [TWEAKTOWN] via PCSTATS

MSI N550GTX-Ti Cyclone II OC Video Card Review @ PCSTATS
With their Sandy Bridge wrinkles firmly tucked away, Intel is continuing to flesh out their mobile offering with a new, more moderately priced dual-core CPU that brings all of their latest technologies to bear in a 2.53GHz chip called the Core i5-2520QM. With Turbo Boost technology available for busts of performance on demand, this four-thread capable CPU should be a popular configuration in the midrange class of multimedia notebooks. The Asus K53E was the vehicle of choice that Intel went with for our testing and evaluation requirements here today and it's a looker. ... [HOTHARDWARE] via PCSTATS
