A recent market research from Taiwan expects that tablet devices will be all the rage at the COMPUTEX TAIPEI 2011. Consumers will definitely be spoilt for choice as a slew of tablets from big brands will be showcased during Computex. Intel plans to challenge NVIDIA with its Oak Trail Platform and a recent DigiTimes report stated that major brands such as Lenovo, Fujitsu and Samsung will be showcasing tablets based on that platform. AMD too will enter the tablet market with their Brazos platform and it is reported that MSI will be adopting that platform. You should be able to see at least one major brand showing Oak Trail based tablet on MeeGo Linux during Computex.

AMD is planning to round off its Radeon HD 6000 series with the release of HD 6750 and HD 6770. These cards are already available for OEMs and offer nothing new - they are simply rebrands of the 18 month old HD 5700 cards - with the addition of HD3D and HDMI 1.4a. The immense gap between highest end Turks (6670) and lowest end Barts (6790) had left a hole in the HD 6000 line-up which AMD can only fill in with the rebrand.
