In Win Buc Mid-Tower Case
Overclockers Club has posted a review of the In Win Buc mid-tower case today. Overall, it seems like the OCC crew really liked the Buc and the review is generally positive. Here's a quote:

The back of the case also features seven expansion slots and water cooling capabilities via the two rubber grommets. The top panel sports a 120mm fan and there are a total of three fans included with this case, which is plus. Also on the top panel is our lone USB 3.0 port and its accompanying tray that allows you to sit a hard drive dock on top of the case.

ACLU: Cops Stealing Drivers' Phone Data
Can someone explain to me how this is even close to being legal. Should we all expect "drivers license, registration, proof of insurance...and your phone" now when we get pulled over?

The Michigan State Police have started using handheld machines called "extraction devices" to download personal information from motorists they pull over, even if they're not suspected of any crime. Naturally, the ACLU has a problem with this.

Man Tries To Rob Store Using A PS3 Controller
Some dude tried to rob a store using a PS3 controller. I guess this is one time you won't hear anything from the "keyboardandmouseissuperiortoaconsolecontroller" crowd.

Police said a St. Petersburg man attempted to rob a convenience store using a Sony Playstation remote control. According to reports, Cameron Pittman, 20, hid the game controller in his pocket and pretended it was a gun as he tried to rob the Sun Food Store on 62nd Avenue S.

Microsoft's Quest for Greater Efficiency in the Cloud
Microsoft is driving sustainability into its datacenters and networks, which provide the foundation for more than 200 cloud services such as Bing, Hotmail and Office 365, to deliver long-term environmental benefits. Christian Belady has spent his career studying and designing server products and their environments. Over the past decade he has watched the physical footprint of datacenters expand as more consumers and companies move to the cloud. Today, Microsoft's largest datacenter is the equivalent of 17 football fields.

GLOBALFOUNDRIES Fab 8 Construction Tour
We just posted our GLOBALFOUNDRIES Fab 8 construction tour article today, so make sure you check that out. Trust me when I say that you have to watch the HD video showcasing the sheer size of the largest construction project underway in the United States.

HardOCP was lucky enough to a get a tour of the facility two weeks ago. It certainly made a big impression on us. Hopefully here we can communicate the sheer enormous size of the total structure, not to mention the Clean Room size alone.

DirecTV Premium VOD Service to Launch Thursday
DirectTV is finally launching its $30 per movie VOD service on Thursday. Are we taking any bets? At $30 for a two month old movie...I'm predicting a flop unless they cut the price or shorten the amount of time you have to wait for movies.

The satellite TV giant will be the first pay TV firm to offer movies about 60 days after their theatrical release for $29.99, with the service being available only to DirecTV HD DVR customers. A DirecTV spokeswoman said titles will be available "about two months" after theatrical release.

Lawyer 'Breached Code With File Sharing Claims'
A lawyer suing people for file sharing wasn't following the rules? What?!? This will surely tarnish the sterling reputation of other lawyers using the same tactics against alleged file sharers around the world. Thanks to Jughead for the link.

The London-based lawyer at the heart of a huge row over internet piracy, Andrew Crossley, breached the solicitors code of conduct with his method of accusing people of illegal filesharing, a judge has ruled. ACS:Law, the law firm created by Crossley, sent tens of thousands of letters demanding "settlement" payments of about £500 from people it accused of illegal downloading.
