GIGABYTE G1 Assassin X58 Motherboard
The crew at Legit Reviews posted a review of the GIGABYTE G1 Assassin X58 motherboard today for those of you interested.
The GIGABYTE G1 Assassin X58 motherboard packed with features. In fact, I don't think the could pack anything else on the board than they already did. In order to fit everything that they did, GIGABYTE had to move away from the standard ATX form factor and increase the size of the board to a XL-ATX form factor.

Facebook-Suing Twins Appeal The Appeal They Lost
You know, if the Winklevoss twins had a brain between them, they would quit appealing their case and throw their weight behind that one dude that claims to own half of Facebook. Am I right?
Whether Appellants would be better off financially keeping the proceeds of the settlement rather than rescinding and proceeding with their lawsuit against Facebook is a personal judgment for them — not an appellate court — to make.

3D TV Sales Are Still Disappointing
Today's news will come as a surprise to absolutely no one. According to the latest reports, 3D TV sales still suck...and they suck for all the same reasons 3D has sucked for the last five decades.
Ongoing issues surrounding the cost of 3D televisions and required eyewear continue to negatively impact sales, despite increased consumer awareness of the new high-definition format, according to a new report.

Video Games Make You Eat More
Are you overweight? Have you ever played a video game? If you answered "yes" to those two very important questions, please call the law offices of Sue, Sue and Sued for compensation!
A Canadian-led study has offered up a new clue to the country's obesity epidemic, suggesting that video-game use is not just a rampant and sedentary replacement for physical exertion, but actually compels players to eat more — even when they are not hungry.

Alcohol Consumption Affects Surgical Skills on VR Simulator
I'm not sure why we needed a study to tell us surgeons perform poorly on a VR surgery simulator with a massive hangover but here it is. What's next? Studies that say pilots crash in the flight simulator more often when they are tanked? Race car drivers suck at driving games after drinking a half bottle of Vodka?
"In the two studies reported herein, we showed persistent detrimental performance effects the day after excessive alcohol had been consumed," the authors conclude. "Given the considerable cognitive, perceptual, visuospatial and psychomotor challenges posed by modern image-guided surgical techniques, abstinence from alcohol the night before operating may be a sensible consideration for practicing surgeons."

Seagate Technology announced today that it is buying Samsung's hard drive business for $1.38B. What is going on lately? Didn't WD just buy Hitachi's hard drive unit last month?

Courts Say Facebook Is Off Limits To Debt Collectors
The courts have ruled that scummy debt collectors can't harass you on Facebook or other social media sites. I say "scummy" because only the bottom feeder types would resort to tactics like that in the first place.
A judge ruled last month that MarkOne can no longer contact Beacham, her family or friends on Facebook or any other social-networking site. It's the first court decision of its kind and serves as a warning for debt collectors to tread lightly when using social networks to recoup money owed. The suit, in which Beacham alleges harassment, is still pending in court.
