Lendle Blocked On Amazon
With ebooks becoming the main stream way to publish, read, sell, and even loan books, it is no wonder why more services seem to pop up everyday across the world market. One of those services in particular, named Lendle, allowed users to use its service to rent out books to each other, all from the Amazon website. Even though this specific service did fall under one of the policy’s that Amazon holds, the online seller has deciding to terminate the service all together, effectively shutting down Lendle completely. The service does say that it hopes to be back up, but for now is down indefinitely due to the choice Amazon has made from taking it down from their website supposedly because it does not believe the website should be use to promote or sell services. There has been so far no comment from Lendle, and no further comments from Amazon as of yet.

Google Gives Georgia Tech $1 Million to Build an Open Internet Benchmark
In the world of computers, there is seemingly a benchmark for virtually everything. Graphics cards, processors, RAM, hard drives, you name it and there is probably a benchmark for it. However, there is one thing that is missing a benchmark and that is the openness of your Internet connection. Well, Google wishes to change all of that by giving the folks over at Georgia Tech $1 million to build a benchmark for the open Internet. The money comes in the form of a two-year grant, with an option for an extra $500,000 for a third year, to create a benchmark to determine just how neutral your Internet connection actually is. It will look for any artificial throttling and digital censorship of data either being sent or received. The project will focus on three main properties: reachability from a variety of access networks, performance of user networks compared to what the ISP says, and the integrity of the information moving along the network. The benchmark will cover both tradtional networks and cellular networks, so everyone should be able to see just how open their Internet really is. No word on when we'd see a benchmark, but hopefully the people at Georgia Tech can make it happen soon.

Sprint Introduces HTC EVO 3D Smartphone and EVO View 4G Tablet
CTIA 2011 is officially in full swing so you know there will be product reveals left and right for the hottest new phones and tablets. Sprint had its event today and showed off two new products from HTC, the EVO 3D smartphone and the EVO View 4G tablet. The EVO 3D makes use of a 4.3" glasses-free 3D display that is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor. The phone is nearly identical to the EVO 4G released last year, it even has 4G connectivity, but it is that glasses-free 3D display and dual 5 megapixel cameras on the back that are the standouts. The display is "America's first QHD 3D 4.3 inch display" that should be a real standout. The two rear cameras can shoot in 3D or 2D, plus there is a 1.3 megapixel camera on the front for video calls. There is an HDMI out that is capable of 1080p video playback for 2D and 720p for 3D content. The EVO 3D is running Android 2.3 and features HTC's Sense UI on top. It has 1GB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage, and a microSD slot capable of holding a 32GB card. It will also come loaded with Blockbuster On Demand so you can watch a 3D movie easily on your new phone.
The other big announcement from Sprint concerns the HTC EVO View 4G tablet. This tablet is a 7" model and features a 1024x600 resolution screen with Android (and HTC Sense) onboard. Powering the whole thing is a 1.5GHz Snapdragon processor paire with 1GB of RAM, so performance should not be an issue on it. It has a 5 megapixel rear camera and a 1.3 megapixel front camera, plus that 4G radio for blazing downloads. The EVO View 4G tablet can utilize the HTC Scribe capacitive stylus to unlock even more potential, like by using it with the Evernote application to jot down notes on websites, PDF files, and more. The tablet will have 32GB of internal storage plus a microSD slot that is capable of holding a 32GB card, giving you an impressive 64GB of total capacity. It features 802.11b/g/n WiFi so you don't always have to use the 3G/4G data speeds.
The HTC EVO 3D smartphone and EVO View 4G tablet will both be available this summer, though no pricing details were mentioned.

NZXT Announces H2 Silent Chassis
There is no denying that NZXT makes a ton of cases that are pretty popular. Today, NZXT is announcing its newest case that will fit into the Classic line, but this time it offers something to help quiet your computer. The H2 Silent Chassis offers silent computing that doesn't skimp on looks or cooling performance. NZXT engineered the H2 with premium noise dampening foam that should be on every panel, including the door that opens on the front to reveal the 5.25" bays. NZXT also includes a magnetic fan cover for the top 140mm fan, but you can remove it to get better cooling. The H2 also features a three phase fan controller which lets you adjust the fans to run at 40, 70, or 100%. The fan compartments are removeable and wireless so you won't have to mess with any wires to remove the fan and clean it. Even though the H2 is a midtower, that isn't stopping NZXT from stuffing it with eight internal HDD bays and an external, top-mounted hot swappable SATA HDD dock. There are three USB 2.0 ports up top, one USB 3.0 port, and audio in/out ports. NZXT also points out that the H2 features 25mm of space behind the motherboard tray to provide you with plenty of room to hide cables.
The NZXT H2 Silent Chassis will be available in black or white colors for $99.99. There was no word on when the case would launch, but expect that to be revealed shortly.
