
Another Steam Feature Announced
Even with Valve recently stating that it will try to bring Steam to the masses by optimizing the software for larger screens in a living room or bedroom setting, it is now offering another feature addition known as Steam Guard. This new feature will allow users to set certain permissions based on what personal computer they want to place them on. Valve expects that this will help cure its number one support issue by far, which is account phishing and hacking. The gaming company is also teaming up with Intel to use an encryption known as Intel IPT, or Intel Identity Protection Technology, on the newest Intel processors such as the 2nd Generation Intel CoreT and Intel CoreT vProT processors. With this technology set into place, Valve is expecting users to be hassle free in terms of both hacking and phishing, and is expecting support issues to drop drastically as more and more users become familiar with Steam Guard.
